Chapter 9

Kehlani POV
I woke up from my nap to my phone ringing from and incoming call from kierra and jada in the group chat, I honestly don't know why my friends like calling me and waking me up from the good nap that I be having.

*join group call *
"Yes"? I said
"We need to talk, we never talked about last night girl" jada said
"So y'all decide to call me in the middle of my nap?" Why couldn't y'all just wait until I wake up" I said
"Girl who in the hell decides to take a nap at 3:00pm in the afternoon? Kierra said
"People like me, now what yall wanna talk about " I said
"Y'all me and qua been having a good coversation " kierra said smiling real hard
"Mbn me and jay haven't even talked since the club , y'all think I should text him" jada said
"No he should text u first if he wants you" I said
"Right u shouldn't ever text a nigga first unless y'all in a relationship " Kierra said
"Y'all right " jada said
"But Kehlani what about u girl, whats going on with you and Trey? " kierra asked
"We talk every now and then, this morning he texted me goodmorning and told me he would call me later and when I got out of the shower he called and asked what I was doing and every since then I havent talked to him" I said
"Oh damn y'all been talking more than me and qua " kierra said laughing
"And more than me and jay " jada said
"Yea I guess " I said laughing a little
"Does kehlani have a crush on Trey " jada teased
"And even if I do it doesn't matter I don't wanna have Trey in any trouble with jordan " I said sighing
"What u talking about " kierra and jada said at the same time "
"Jordan called and said that I've be ignoring his calls and which I was he called off somebody else phone and I answered it, he said I was his property and if he hears about me being with somebody else then he will try and kill both of us " I said
"So you saying that Jordan threaten u?" Kierra said
"Yeah he did " I said
"You need to tell your dad Kehlani or Trey maybe they can both help u out of this" jada said
"That reminds me , ima go talk to my mama downstairs they would be back by now, ima text y'all later on" I said
"Okay"they said
*call ends*

I got out of bed fixed my messy bun and headed downstairs to see if my mom and sister was back, my nose was hit by the smell of fried chicken frying and it smelled so good. I walked in the kitchen and seen my mama cooking some fried chicken.

"Hey mama" I said
"Hey baby, you finally waking up" she said
"No I woke up earlier u guys were at the store and then I went back upstairs in my room watched some tv until I fell asleep " I said
"Oh yeah we went to the store to get some things to cook for dinner " she said
"Where's Avianna "? I said
"She's in her room watching tv " she said
"And where's dad" I said
"He's in his office handling some business from work" she said
"Oh okay well mom I need to talk to you about something " I said
"I'm listening" she said
"Well jordan threatened me, i met this boy Trey at the club last night we've been talking every since then, he's really sweet, caring and fine at that, i really like him but I'm scared to keep talking to him, bc I don't wanna let him get hurt ." I said
"Welll hunny listen, you need to let your father handle jordan , you need to let it be in his hands " she said

Just as she said that my dad had walked in the kitchen

"Let me handle what" he said
"U need to handle jordan he's still threatening our daughter and I don't want my daughter hurt" my mom said in the middle of tears running down
"Baby calm down, I'll handle it" he said
"Our daughter is finally trying to have a friend around and he's threatening and she can't do that because of him" my ma said still in tears
"What friend" my dad asked
"A friend I met at the club" I said
"A boy? " my dad said
"Yeah" I said
"I want to meet him before y'all get any closer Kehlani , and baby I'll handle Jordan , don't worry " he said as he kissed my mamas cheek

After that coversation with my mom and dad I went to go see what my sister was up to.

Treys POV

After having the conversation with my mom I headed on back to the trap I decided to go ahead and text Kehlani back bc I haven't text her or called her since 11:00 this morning so ima go ahead and call lul mama up

*ring ring*
*ring *ring*
*ring *ring*
"Hello" her sweet voice said
"Hey ma , what u up to right now " I asked
"Oh nothing , just was about to go talk to my little sister " she said
"Oh you got a lil sister " I said surpried
"Yeah i do, u have silblings? she asked
"Yea i do actually, a little brother" I said
"Oh how old is your little brother " she asked
"He's 7 " I said
"Oh your brother is older than my sister " she said
"Oh so your sister must be 6 " I said
"Yeah she's 6 and a headache sometimes , but I love her " she said laughing
"When ima see you again" I asked
"I don't know, I have a lot going on right now, maybe soon though. " she said

When she said that it made me wonder what she had going on.. cause no girl just gets really quiet when I ask her a question.. it's something else to it. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Kehlani was calling me name

"Trey " she said
"Oh my bad ma I was thinking about something " I said
"U okay " she said
"So my dad wants to meet you if we get really serious like start talking or anything, he's just really overprotective" she said
"Okay, ion mind meeting pops " i said laughing
"Thanks for understanding " she said
"You welcome ma" I said

About an hour went passed and I'm sitting here in the car laughing and talking with Kehlani, yea right in the car, I would've been hung up if it was any other girl, but like I said Kehlani she different , she making me change my actions and we not nothing but just friends. And then she kinda made me nervous when she said her dad wanted to meet me if anything got serious. It made me really wonder why her dad was overprotective over her, I mean i know she's the oldest but it had to be a real reason why she was so scared and why her dad was so overprotective.

Kehlani POV

I was walking upstairs to my room to talk to my sister when I got a call from Trey , I answered it and we spent about 2 hrs talking, he would've been hung up about 5 mins. But he had a lot of questions to ask me, I think he knows that something is wrong because when he asked me about seeing me again, I said I didn't really know I had things to handle. And what I meant by things is I really didn't want Jordan to hurt Trey I mean, yeah Trey is 20 and Jordan is 22 but jordan is crazy he will hurt somebody and I really just don't want Trey getting hurt, im starting to really care about Trey a lot.
