Prologue ||00-Chapter 0||
Let's ride to the sunset,
I could be your best friend,
Love will take us by surprise,The 14 year old girl with [h/l] [h/c] hair ran happily around the garden blooming with flowers of all colours; it was spring, after all. The season of new beginnings, renewed hopes, and new opportunities.
A certain ravenette looked on at the girl frolicking in the sun, basking in it's warmth. He knew it was time to call his mistress in for her lunch before it got too cold. But no matter how much he resisted, he couldn't tear his eyes from the [e/c] eyed girl, which reflected her innocence. Her [h/l] beautiful tresses shone in the sun, her pale pink-yellow dress complimented her [pale/tanned] skin. The flowery dress flowing around her at her every move. She was truly a symbol of beauty.
And I watch you grow,
You'd be beautiful,
We were right,
I've wings and will fly,
And if you let me export you,
I will sing for you,
Just before you sleep.Sebastian; the definition of perfection. But that was after this. That was before he became a demon.
He knew [y/n] as a child. As an infant, to be precise. They grew up together in the same house. He was her playmate and first friend, and vice versa. She was also his first and last love. As children, they often played together; children games such as role play. He was the knight saving the princess (that was [y/n] of course) from the evil beasts (her soft toys). And they always made flower crowns when they were in the garden and pretended that they were the king and queen of the land (the garden).
They were both innocent, and was not the slightest bit tainted by the outside world. No greed, no corruption or anger. There were like two little angels descended from heaven.
It was that way until...

18th December 1780; London, England. 12:37 pm."You called for me Sir?" Asked a 10 year old ravenette; whose head poked in through the open door. Opening the grand oak door and closing it gently behind him, he walked to the centre of the room and stood before his master, Lord [l/n].
"Ah, Sebastian; just the person I wanted to see."
He stood silently before the older [l/n], waiting for him to continue. "It's about my daughter, [y/n]." His ears perked up slightly.
Recently, when he sees [y/n], his heart would skip a beat. His hands would feel clammy. He would feel like hiding and look at her from a corner. Sometimes he'd find himself looking at her; no. Staring at her. He'd ask his mother, one of the senior maids at the manor, what this new feeling was. All she did was to laugh and ruffle his hair, saying, "My little boy's growing up." Of course, he was too young to understand and was confused about it. Sometimes he'd be left very agitated and frustrated.
Anyways, back to the story.
"As you know, my daughter is a growing young lady. Since both of you have grown up together, I trust you enough to let you take care of her. Simply speaking, I want you to be my daughter's bodyguard; and as her butler as a cover." He looked at the young boy in front of him. "Do you understand?"
He nodded. "Yes, I understand Sir."
"You're dismissed. You can start work from today."

14 February 1786; London, England. 3:56 pm.It has been slightly over 5 years since that day. Ever since then, he'd accompany his friend- scratch that- mistress, to her destinations. Most of her visits included the Trancy manor, even the thought of it was enough to make him shudder. The reason being there was a young butler, who was still a boy, that would annoy the patience out of the 16 year old Sebastian. He was none other than Claude. Even after they became demons, their rivalry never ceased.
That day at that moment, both him and his mistress were in the carriage on their way to buy a new evening gown. But sadly, it started to rain as they pulled up to their stop. It was only a slight drizzle at first but gradually got heavier. Sebastian opened up his umbrella which was enough room for two, as he stepped outside. Holding out his gloved hand for his mistress to take, he helped the 16 year old daughter of his master out of the carriage.
"My, you're such a gentleman as always Sebastian." [Y/n] said, smiling at the handsome butler. He shot her one of his charming smiles that could make any women melt. Linking her slender arm through his, they walked together into the dress shop.
Unknown to them, a pair of ominous eyes with his eyelids burnt off as well as well as a face with a carved in smile, was looking at them from an alley opposite the dress shop, his grip on the handle of a butcher knife he was holding tightening.
