Hey kids I'm back and it's flashback time! Enjoy!
I stormed to the detention room. Oh i'm so excited. Surprisingly, Jonah doesn't say anything. Like how dirty my hand-me-downs are or how privileged he is by talking about his new car.
"Do you think I should be in an actual relationship?"
I turned around. Wtf?
"Why are you talking to me about this?"
"Your the only person here. And I have the free will to talk to anyone I want."
God damn it Lisa just answer his motherfucking question!
"Well, if you like the person for who she is and if she reciprocates your feelings, then yes, you should be in a relationship. But for someone like you, I doubt that would happen anytime soon."
"You don't know that." He was blushing now. To be completely honest, he is kinda cute.
"Oh trust me, girls only want a relationship where they can get in your pants. Especially that slut Christina." I snapped. "Besides even if you do like someone, you have to show them that you're interested in them."
"Are you saying that I'm not doing that?"
"Well, ARE YOU?"
"Yes! But I don't think she even likes me back." He was mad on blushing. I was on the verge of flipping out my phone to take a picture and even considering the fact of using it against him. However, unlike him, I do have a ounce of sensibility in myself.
Then I stopped immediately, causing Jonah to bump into me.
"Lisa?"
~~~~~~
"Hey Lisa, come here!" Leah beckoned me over with a book in her hands. I assumed she was reading one of those cliché romance novels that always have the rich guy and the poor girl and how they always end up together. It is sickening to think that there are people in this world that actually believe their lives would end up like that but they have to face the harsh reality of this world. Sooner or later.
Some people are just not meant to find their happily ever after.
"What's happened? A smut scene?" It was one of those contemporary romance novels that always have a smut scene tucked away in there...or two. Leah snorted. She claimed she wasn't into that kind of stuff anymore.
I highly doubt that.
"Did you know that there are some people that actually bully the person that they like or have a crush on? I mean that's what this book says."
"That's sick. Why can't they just ask them out on a date or just confess to them like any normal person would?"
"According to this, people like them are too embarrassed to admit it." Leah held up 'The Unofficial Guide to Knowing if Someone Likes You.'
"Its not embarrassing to fancy someone once in a while." I took a seat next to her. "It's normal"
"People like us do not understand people like them. They're too prideful in their social status. We're orphans. What pride do we have left?"
"None."
"Exactly." She looked over and poked me in the forehead. "But don't forget what I said, Lisa."
"It won't even happen anyways." I got up and walked off. But I could hear her whisper...
"It already is."
~~~~~
It can't be. Hah. The one person who has been terrorizing my life since grade school actually likes me? If Jonah actually does have feelings for me, well, that will complicates things a little. But I did not have much time to think it through as Jonah gave me a large slap on the back that immediately brought me back to the present.
SLAP!
"I've been calling you for 5 minutes! I thought you were asleep, though I find it scientifically possible for you to sleep while standing." Jonah shook me out of my daze, though I was quite conscious of my surroundings already.
"Giraffes stand while they sleep. But you wouldn't know that since you prioritize making out with your latest fling at the back of Ms Vinci's science class!" I yelled back.
We glare at each other for a good whole minute before the detention lady, Ms Crabbs yells at us to hurry the hell up into detention.
Huh, so much for his affection for me.
