I'm starting this right after the last chapter so maybe I won't procrastinate this story again -Corbin

I leave the choir room and see Ben smiling at me. He gets up and I see the bottom of his stomach for a split second.
"How do you think you did?" He asks in the most polite voice possible.
"I think it went pretty good," I beam. That's a weird word to describe the way I did it but I guess that's what I did. I beamed at him. "Director's my new English teacher so I think I got a part at least." He nods.
"I don't know who that one guy is, but I don't think he liked me." He says kind of hurt.
"You mean Dylan?" I ask. "Blond guy, green eyes?" He nods.
"I sit next to him in English, I'll talk to him tomorrow." I say. Ben's eyes widen and he grabs his left arm.
"No you don't have to do that, that would probably just make him not like me more, you know?" I nod.
"Alright well, talk to you tomorrow?" I ask. He lets his arms fall back to his hips.
"Yeah, talk to you tomorrow." He agrees. I grab my bag and walk towards the door when and the door swings open, knocking me back. A small girl runs towards me.
"Oh my god. Ahh. Ahh. Oh my god, are you okay? I'm so sorry. Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god." She freaks. I look up at her and laugh, as she helps me up.
"You're fine, uh." I look at her, it was the girl who I'd talked to before I auditioned. "Wren, right?" She nods.
"Yeah and you're..." She paused and snaps her fingers. "Alex! That's it." I smile and look at her pink, carpet like cardigan over her t-shirt of some Indie band I've never heard of. Her lip and eyebrow is pierced. Her makeup is noticeably natural. "Sorry I, you know, almost ended your life." I laugh.
"Please, I doubt you'd be able to do that." I smile. She laughs and nods.
"Yeah, probably not." She agrees. "You should come over this weekend, me and my twin sister, Emily, are having a party. Your friend Dylan is coming too. Actually it was his idea for us to invite you, but I told him I didn't know you and it'd be weird. Is it. Weird I mean? Is it weird?" I laugh.
"The only thing weird here is that you just hit me with the door and now you're inviting me to a party." I say. "But yeah, I'll come. I just sure hope you don't go about like this all the time." She cocks and eyebrow up and shoots one down simultaneously.
"On like.. what?" She asks.
"You talk. Like. A lot." She smiles with one side of her mouth.
"You sure know how to please a lady, don't you." She jokes.
I throw my bag down next to the door and take off my shoes and my aunt looks at me from above her romance novel. She cocks an eyebrow and crosses her arms.
"Where were you?" She asks pretty much hitting me with every sound of her words. I smile.
"I auditioned for the school play." I announce. "I think I did pretty good, too." She laughs.
"No seriously, where were you?" I frown.
"I was seriously auditioning." She rolls her eyes.
"You haven't even thought about a play in what? Fourteen years? What made you do this, huh?" She stands up angrily. "Now tell me where you really where or else you're grounded." I sigh.
"Mom, I wouldn't lie about this. An upperclassman asked me to audition so I did, and it sounds like fun and I met a few new people. In fact I was invited to a party this weekend." She walks over to me and grabs my head.
"Okay," She kisses the top of my head. "But if I find out you're lying to me you're dead." I nod and walk upstairs to my room.
I jump onto my bed and pull out my phone. I have a text from Ben.
Ben: Hey you busy?
Me: No, what's up?
Ben: You want to come over? Drew is gone tho so it will just be us :)
Me: Sure:P
I knock on his door and wait. A drunk, older guy opens the door.
"You Ben's friend?" He asks. I nod. "Up the stairs and to the left." I nod and walk up there. He looks up from his laptop and smiles. He shuts the computer and begins to get up.
"Hey, what's up?" He asks. I shrug.
"What do you want to do?" He shrugs.
"Here, sit on my bed, I'll grab a controller and we can take turns playing GTA." He says. I nod and sit down on his bed. He turns on Grand Theft Auto and sits next to me.
"Hey so you going to the party this weekend?" I ask. He looks at me.
"What party? We literally just got into high school. We're freshman. We don't go to parties."
"I mean I'm sure it's not a party party but like Wren asked me over I guess she's having a party with her sister. A bunch of people who auditioned today are going to be there I guess." He nods.
"Okay, but I don't really think I want to go to a party I wasn't invited to.." He says.
"Isn't that what I'm doing?" I ask. "Inviting you." He laughs.
"Can you do that?" He laughs. "Invite me to someone else's party?" I laugh.
"Even if I can't," I start. "You're going. I cannot be the only Freshman there with a bunch of people I've never met before." He nods.
"Fine, but just because you're making me do this I'm taking an extra turn." I roll my eyes and agree.
