Song for the chapter:
Sad by Maroon 5

•Kirstie's P.O.V•
My doorbell rang, it's probably Mitch. I ran to the door and opened it for him. But before anything else, he surprisingly caught my lips. His palms was right below my ear and his thumbs were on my cheeks. I was shocked but then I joined his enthusiastic flow. He soon released himself. Our foreheads meet and we laughed. "That was bracing." I lilted, he continued to laugh.

"Kirstie, I need to talk to you." He said, it seems important. "Can I come in now?" He asked. "Yes, of course." I widened the door and left spaces for him to enter. I closed the door as he went further. He sat down and sighed on the couch I was into earlier, "Come here..." He called, having his left arm widened wherein I'm supposed to lie to it. I sat with him and layed on his chest. He started embracing me.

"It seems important." I spoke, I heard he sighed. "Is there something wrong?" Then I asked. "I'm sorry." He lamented, I lifted my head in confusion. "Sorry?" I was stammering, what is he sorrying for? "I'm sorry, I didn't tell you about this." His voice was in pain, "What, I don't understand." I shake my head then.

"Spit it out, please." I begged.

"My parents," Dear air came between us, "forced me to study in Paris." He discussed. "Then, you agreed?" I was already howling.

"Yes." My face was shocked, stuttering. "When are you going to leave?" I asked next, I tired everything back my tears out. "Tomorrow." He replied.

"So... you're gonna leave me here, fine. This ain't Disney anyway for happy endings." his face was blank. Tears began to roll down my face. "Please, don't think of that way."

"Then, what do you want me to think, Mitchell?!" I stood up, miffing at him. "Kirstie, please." He stood up as well. "I didn't have a choice!" He reasoned at me. "Just get out of my house." I started to point the door. "GET OUT. I SAID GET OUT!"

He walked closer to me, then clawed his arms on my body, trying to calm me down. "LET GO OFF ME, GET OUT!" I yelled inside him. "Kirstie, I love you..."

15 years ago... I can't believe those memories are still fresh. But those days are gone. He's still in my memories. He's still alive. I can't believe I'm still waiting for him, it's just not normal. It's impossible. He might have a new life, or... even a relationship, I don't know. I haven't heard of him for years.

"I love you. Forgive me."

That was the last text I got from him until I finally deleted his number. Blocked him on every social medias I've got with him. And burned pictures we had. Except for one photo, though. I opened my drawer and found that photo.

Why do I feel sad? I have a boyfriend, Jeremy is going to fill my empty space, he's going to be.

A knock on my door, probably it was Jeremy. I quickly wiped my tears. "Kirst?" The door suddenly opened. "Hey." I spun my computer chair and faced him. "Did you just cry?"

"How did you know?" I asked.

"Well, your eyes are red." He answered.

"Oh, that's probably because I was reading 'The Notebook'. It's so touchy." I just replied, picking the book from my lap.

"Is it about Mitch?" I suddenly widened my eyes. "N-No. Why?" I stuttered. "It's 15 years. Please..." I looked away. My eyes are getting redder, tears slowly flow.

"Mitch left, so? I have you." I looked back to him, he was just looking to me back. "Stop crying, come here."

I just stood up and walked to him, I cried on his shirt then.
