•Mitch's P.O.V•
It's winter, and I am quite freezing. My room heater doesn't work, I have to suffer. I was looking out of my window, daydreaming things I should not."Mitch?" I heard my mom called downstairs. I rushed to the door. I opened it and found her having a hard time carrying the groceries. "Take this." She surprisingly gave me a heavy paperbag which I quickly ran to the kitchen. I carefully placed it on the counter. "You should have asked me to come with you." I told my mom. "You were asleep as I left." She answered.
She faced me, started staring at me. "Wearing your favorite maroon sweater, I see?" She giggled, "Yes, mom." I smiled. "You're such a good boy," She then sighed. "I'm sure your father understands you now." She muttered. "I don't care about that anymore." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Come here," She widened her arms for a hug, I went to her and hugged her tight. "I love you, son."
"'Love you too, mom." I broke the hug. "Who's up for lunch?" Mom announced. "Lunch?" I looked at the time, it's already 10:45 in the morning. "The sun does not show up that much, that's why." Mom mumbled. "Call your sister, she's gotta help."
I walked out of the kitchen and took the stairs. I knocked into my sister's door, hope she answers quick. Her name is Aveline Grassi. Aveline means "Hazelnut" in Roman. Her eye color is the reason.
"Mitch?" I heard she asked in. "Yes, go to the kitchen. Mom needs you." I said, "Does it have to be now?"
"Just get your butt off that bed and get out before I break this door for the third time!" The door suddenly opened, which Aveline's hair was a mess. "Fix your hair before going down." I ordered her. Her face was simply blank. "Don't start with me, Aveline."
"'Kay...." She just mumbled, then shut her door close.
"Mitch! Aveline!" Mom called before I could even enter to my room, I have to reverse my steps. I knocked on Aveline's door again but didn't mind waiting for her to come out. "What is it, mom?" I wondered as I arrived the kitchen.
"What did I say? Where's your sister?" Mom asked me then. "I asked her to fix her hair." I simply answered, which she uttered nothing and just staring at me. I laughed.
"Don't worry, her door's not broken."
Mom sighed in relief, wore back her eyeglasses and continueto read a cookbook. "Today we're going to make lasagna. Which is why I need Aveline here."
Numerous of steps filled the stairs, the 'princess' has arrived. "Yes, mom?" Aveline walked beside me and crossed her arms. I pushed her arms down discarding the crossed arms. "Respect." I whispered-yelled. "I'm just crossing my arms!"
"Respect."
"Dang it, you're gonna sue me just because I'm crossing my arms in front of mom?"
"Again. Respect!"
Mom was just looking at us. "You two done?" She hanged both of her hands on her waist. "Yes." Aveline and I amswered in unison.
"What is it, mom?" Aveline continued to ask.
"I need you to read the lasagna cooking procedure for me." Mom answered, "Uh... you have Mitch?" Aveline pointed me, her tone was unsure. "Yes, I do," She looked to me then. "You're gonna help me..."
She was replying at us, like we're bunch of mindless freaks. Nice knowing you, Aveline.
•Kirstie's P.O.V•
"Good morning, baby." Jeremy hummed after the alarm clock snoozes for like 3 times. "Morning." I faintly replied, covering my face with my pillow. "Come on, it's 9:45AM." I was just groaning under my pillow. Jeremy flicked my pillow away. "Give the pillow back to me, Mitch."
