The 8th of May was a bright, sunny day for a sweet wedding. Everything was perfect. The guests' smile never fades in seconds. The arrangements of flowers were as bloomy as ever. The excitement of Mitch was delightful. The only thing missing is the arrival of her soon-to-be-wife.
"Jeremy." He called after spotting him in coincidence. Mitch wanted him to be the best man instead. Mitch walked to him, Jeremy returned a smile. "Thank you for everything." He acknowledged. Jeremy shook his head. "She's an amazing woman." Jeremy replied. "I know you're going to be a great man for her." He added.
"What makes you say that?" Mitch questioned.
"Because I'm here to kick your ass if you ain't."
Both laughed.
"Uh, excuse me. I'll go check my sister outside." Jeremy excused himself. Mitch made a nodding acknowledgement.
"Whoops," Aveline eventually came, hitting her hip against his. "Oww." Mitch whined. "You can't chase me around now." Aveline sticked her tongue out. "I know." He shrugged his shoulders. "So tell me, am I going to have a niece, or a nephew?" She surprisingly questioned.
"How about this? You want a slap, or a punch?"
"I'll choose or!" She laughed.
Mitch just sighed. "Kirstie said she wants a boy... Well, for me, I want a girl. It's still up to her."
"You wanna know what I want?" Aveline squeezed her voice. "What?"
"TWINS!" She exclaimed. I scoffed.
"FRATERNAL. I'll take the girl!"
"It's like my kids are puppies for you to get that quickly." Mitch mumbled.
"Well, at months 1-9, they are." She defended. "Whatever, Aveline. Just go with Jill and do some sister chat." Mitch commanded, no more words but Aveline ran.
Mitch's mom walked to him next for another compliment. "Hey, baby." She called, holding both of his prince's hands. "I can't believe you're getting married with Kirstie." She began. "You're going to end up with her after all." Mitch laughed on what she spoke. "It's always been her..." He stated. "I believe you." His mom kissed his hands and his cheek.
"Can we have the guests in line? The bride is about to arrive!" One of the family's hired crew announced. He hurriedly went to the groom's position, and Jeremy happened to position himself behind Mitch. Jill and Aveline ran to the Maids-of-honor's place.
Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, the ring bearer, and the bible bearer had walked to the aisle. But Mitch mostly awaited for his wife's arrival to the altar.
She is very beautiful, thought Mitch. He smiled the best as he watched Kirstie walks on the aisle. A beautiful melody of an orchestra filled the room.
Kirstie breathed heavily, aside from her fit wedding dress, the only thing invading her space is her nervousness.
"Calm down, Kirstie. This will be over soon." She whispered to herself. She looked to anyone who jumps her eye to, managing to smile. Few more steps until she reaches the love of her life.
Mitch began to held out her hand, as Kirstie finally arrives. Kirstie gradually took him. She sighted Jeremy, giving a delightful smile. Jeremy just raised his thumb for a "thumbs up" with a smile.
The two of them faces the altar. The moment the guests, and even us, have been waiting for.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. We are gather here to witness the union of Kirstie Maldonado, and Mitch Grassi." The priest have spoken. The both of them faced each other, both hands linked on each other. As always, Mitch didn't bother taking his smile off.
"Are you on drugs?" Kirstie managed to make a joke.
"Your love is my drug."
"Oh, stop." She snapped. The microphone was suddenly aligned to Mitch's mouth and had the rings to their hands. He took a deep breathe and looked to Kirstie's eyes.
"Kirstie," He began. "Remember the time the two of us met? It was detention." Kirstie was giggling on Mitch's words. "Coincidentally, I got myself in detention for yelling to Mrs. Benson." Mitch laughed between his words. "And you for starting the "food fight" in the cafeteria."
"And the time where I asked you to be my girlfriend in a different way... a book way. Where I gave you a book entitled "Will you be my girlfriend"."
"And the moment I left, I know I left someone hurt. Until one day, as my family described, I was involved into a vehicular accident in Paris."
"But this day, I promise to be your partner, companion, and friend. Your shoulder to cry on, your reason to be happy, or simply the person to complete your whole life." Mitch added. "If you die, I die. Kirstie... you are my life. I love you forever and always."
Mitch took a wedding ring, and raised Kirstie's ring finger.
He slowly wore it to her, Kirstie suddenly had tears of joy. Kirstie took the micrphone in surprise. "Mitch, I know you'll do whatever it takes to make me happy. In sickness and in health, I promise to take care of you, even when you're over indulged the night before. For richer or for poorer, I promise not to finish our income to books for your upcoming kids this year." Kirstie suddenly nod after seeing Mitch's eyes are widened.
"Yes, Mitch. She's coming." She spoke behind the mic. After she had wore the ring to his finger. Mitch suddenly embraced Kirstie. "I love you."
"I love you too..." Kirstie whispered back.
"I now pronounce you, man and wife." The priest declared. "You may now kiss your Ex."
