"Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair!" Yelled the young prince who has shining silver hair. He wore a navy blue colored tunic and brown cotton pants. A white ruffled poet shirt was underneath his tunic as he stretched out his arms in accordance to the prince's excitement.
The audience watched quietly but focused, some with pure awe on their faces as the teenage actors portrayed their characters. The lights beamed down on the silver haired prince before directly shining on a different lead.
From the top of the five meter wooden tower was a girl who wore a long blonde wig and had a flat pink colored dress. She looks down at the young prince and throws her long locks outside the tower window.
The silver haired prince grasps on to her hair as the red curtains closed for a moment. Footsteps scattered around the stage as the props on wheels began to be pushed off stage. The silver haired prince takes one look at his face in the mirror before taking a long sigh.
He scurries back to the stage just as the curtains spread open once again.
"I have only heard stories of a woman who bares long golden hair," The prince circles the maiden who holds an innocent smile on her lips.
"The stories are true as I am here before you. Rapunzel, in the flesh," The female lead responds in a courteous tone. She bows her head gracefully as the young prince bows in return.
The young prince forces a grin on to his lips. He stares at the actress in the eyes with soft eyes. "Why does the world not know of pure beauty? A maiden who lives her life in a tower like this deserves a better fate..."
"CUT!" The director yells. Her voice made everyone flinch while the lights return to the theater and it was blinding.
The silver haired actor winced under the light before focusing his eyes on the director in the front seat. The Rapunzel actress only scoffs with disappointment before rolling her eyes and going backstage.
"Kakashi! It's 'who lives her life in a tower deserves a better fate'! We'll redo the scene again!" The director yells to the cast who all groan in annoyance.
Kakashi sighs, his eyes clouded with guilt. He waddles backstage as other students began to redo his hair or makeup. They brushed up his costume and prepped his props. The Rapunzel actress sat beside him, staring through his mirror.
"I'm sorry but why can't you get the line straight? We've been doing this for a week and you're still this bad?" The Rapunzel actress scoffs sourly. "I can't believe you got the male lead for this," she grumbled to herself before brushing her wig.
Kakashi doesn't answer. He sighs, massaging his temples. Why am I still here?
How did Kakashi Hatake end up in a fairy tale play? Why is he involved in a childish scheme instead of training or perfecting his skills? Well... it all began when he messed with something he shouldn't have.
