Revas stood in a small, well lit room, waiting.  A few years back she would have left in angry pursuit of her late mentor - Margolin - hours ago, but her training has taught her otherwise. It has taught her patience, cunning, and flexibility among other things. Anything to get the target terminated and the White Falcons paid. That is the code that Revas has lived by for as long as she cares to remember. The thought of her storming out of the poorly made oak door made her chuckle. Quickly, she returned to reality as she heard the door slowly opened with a loud screech. Strutting through the door was none other than Virgil, Revas’ partner.

“Sorry I’m late, but considering the look on your face, she isn’t quite here yet. I’d say I’m the smart one.” Virgil mocked. He had a smug look on his face that complimented his dark wavy hair and deep brown eyes.

“You know, one of these days, Margolin will come on time. What will you do then?” Revas teased, but at the same time she was curious about his answer. It wouldn't be the first time his charm had gotten him out of trouble.

“Oh, don’t you worry about me. When that day comes, if that day comes, I’ll make something up.”

“Like what?” Revas asked, amused by his lack of competence.

“How about, a pack of rabid dogs attacked me on my way, and I fought them off heroically.” he joked.

“You know, if you left out the word heroically I just may have bought that. “ Revas knew that voice anywhere, that was Margolin. “But if you don’t mind, I have a gift for the both of you.”

She handed them a neatly rolled scroll, of light brown paper, like that of a map, but printed inside were not lands, but secrets of which they were about to learn. Without as much as a goodbye, Margolin was off, through the creaky old door. Once the door had closed, Revas opened the tightly wound scroll. A new mission had begun.

The target was a young and foolish nobleman named Garcon Du’ Puis, who had gotten himself too far into politics, making him target number one for many other nobles. They were to attack at midnight, when he would be sleeping at his manor. So they waited. When midnight was upon them, they striked. Revas was ready. She had known everything about their target, the place he grew up, his origin, his childhood dreams, the fact that he is sensitive to cold, and when he wakes up at night to go back to bed, he needs a glass of water. She couldn’t help but scoff, lucky fool. The nobles had it easy; they were rich, fed, and dry. Unlike her, she knew deep down that truthfully she was envious of their simple lives, but she was too proud to admit such. Revas crept up behind the back door guard and threw him off by throwing a stone into the garden. The moment his eyes were fixated on that stone she struck, snapping his neck in a split second. No better way to assassinate a target, then to do from within the depth of the shadows

“Come on, let’s get this done quick.” Revas whispered.

“What? I thought we would stop for tea first. Too bad.” he joked.

“Shut up. Now let’s go.” she barked.

Revas heard a ruffling sound from above, as she looked up and there it was. A single black crow, starring her down with those small, beady eyes. She couldn’t help but be a little frightened. Crows were said to be a sign of bad luck. She had hoped that it wasn’t true.

Using stealth instead of force, they got through the building fairly easily. They had managed to get past the majority of the guards and were almost instantly near the bedchamber of their victim. The night watch was always a bit lazy, no matter how much you pay. Though strangely, the closer they got to their target, the more nervous she got. It was odd, she was no rookie. Although, she wasn’t about to abandon the mission, just because she has a bad feeling about it. After motivating herself to keep going they came up to the sleeping chambers of their victim.
