Chapter 12

Continuing from the last part...

Mahir :

We somehow managed to escape from mom's and yuvi's teasing sessions. Now it's time for me to bear Bela's anger, after all it's my fault that I spitted everything.

Now we are sitting in the car and surprisingly Bela is silent. From the starting of our journey she's just silent, for the first time I'm scared of what might be behind this silence. Should I call and talk to her or is it better if I leave now?

Mahir - Bela!

Bela - hm

Mahir - what happened? Is everything alright?

Bela - what should I talk? If I say something, you will say something else, and people who listen will think something different.. is it all needed now?

Mahir - arre Bela I know it was my fault, but sorry na

She looked at me and I pouted with a puppy face and she smiled little at it.

Bela - fine, I'm sorry too

And we both laughed at our own antics. We both were gossiping and soon reached out office. Soon after an hour Bela came to my room to inform that I have a meeting in the next one hour.

Mahir - Bela this time you are gotta give the presentation

Bela - what? Me? No way mahir, I joined the office itself a few days back only and now so soon you are asking me to give a presentation? No mahir, what if something goes wrong and they cancel the deal

Mahir - oh god Bela, atleast breath first.. listen I believe and I have the confidence that you are gonna do it well.. so just don't worry it's gonna be fine. Since we have only an hour you go your cabin and go through this

Bela - but mahir..

Mahir - Bela this time I'm not telling as your friend but rather as your boss

She frowned looking at me and nodding her head she went back to her cabin.
Soon an hour passed by and it's the time for the meeting. I could sense her nervesnouss but I was way too confident of her talent.

Soon bela started explaining her presentation and as I thought she was doing the best. The investors told that they were impressed with Bela's work and accepting our deal they left from the place.

Bela immediately came towards me and hugged as tightly as she could making me hard to breath also. Due to the force she came, I moved a step back while her legs weren't on the floor. I too held her tight through her waist and was lost in the moment.

She slowly backed off and she then realised what just happened. May be she's feeling embarrassed now just like I'm.

Bela - um.. I'm sorry, I was just...

Mahir - it's ok Bela, it's just a hug

She just nodded her head smiling and I too smiled back.

Soon I again engrossed in my work that I dint notice the time. I heard a knock at the door and I know it's Bela, so before she scold me for working even after the working hours, it's better if I quickly pack my thinks before she enter inside.

I started picking my stuff and she came inside and immediately started laughing looking at me.

Mahir - what's so funny?

Bela - are you scared of me?

She asked me still controlling her laugh, is it coz she caught me packing my stuff in a hurry after she knocked?

Bela - fine, stop thinking now and come.. I'll be down

Mahir - no wait, I'm also coming with you

Bela - don't behave like a child who's scared to walk alone (laughing)

Mahir - enough of your teasing sessions, it's just that I feel good by your side

Shit what did I just say? What would she think of now? I looked at her and signed in relief looking at her small smile at the corner of her lips.

Bela - shall we go?

Mahir - hmm

We both went down and sitting in the car I was driving to Sehgal mansion.

Bela - I don't wanna go home

Mahir - what? Don't wanna go home means where else you wanna go now?

Bela - I want Pani Puri now

Mahir - what, now? No Bela, it's already too late

Bela - so what? Is there any rule that I shouldn't eat Pani Puri when it's late at night?

Mahir - I didn't mean that..

Bela - then what did you mean? Ok whatever, I want it now mahir please na

I couldn't deny her when she was asking me so cutely.

Mahir - ok fine, but you will only one plate ok?

Bela - I'll think of it

I rolled my eyes while she laughed hard.
