Chapter 6

Continuing from the last part...

Bela :

I blushed unknowingly listening to yuvi's comment, god knows why he feels me as Bhabhi in just a day I met mahir. Being embarrassed I silently went to my room and headed towards the washroom to freshen up. I came back wiping my face with the towel and I saw mahir sitting on the bed probably waiting for me.

Bela - mahir!

Mahir - oh Bela! I actually wanted to apologize on behalf of yuvi for what he said a few minutes back

Bela - that's ok mahir ji, you don't need to be sorry for it

Mahir - I was scared that you would take it in a wrong way

Bela - no no! That's completely fine (smiling)

Mahir - cool then! Come for dinner, maa is calling

Bela - yeah sure, I'll be there in five minutes

Mahir - okay! I'll be waiting

Bela - hmm

He left calling me for dinner and in a while I too went down and saw Sumi maa, yuvi and mahir already sitting in there seats and waiting for me.

Bela - I'm so sorry, I made you all wait

Sumi - that's ok beta, let's have now

Bela - ji

We all soon completed our dinner and I was helping Sumi maa in cleaning all this while mahir and yuvi went back to there rooms.

Soon after a while Sumi maa also went back to her room and I was feeling lonely again. In this big world they are only two people with whom I can share my feelings and now being far from both of them tears slowly formed in my eyes.

I quickly wipes them off and went towards Sumi maa's room, I saw her sitting on the bed and reading a book.. I knocked the door to gain her attention.

Sumi - Bela! Come in na

Bela - I'm sorry maa if I distrubed you

Sumi - arre Bela, nothing like that.. you can come to me anytime you want

This worlds of her really touched me and feeling emotional I immediately hugged her and was sobbing softly. She understood that I was missing my mom and was rubbing my back to comfort me. She backed off and cupped my face.

Sumi - never cry again Bela, I know you have no one in this world but from now remember that you have a mother too

I smiled slightly and nodded my head. We both started gossiping about random things and I soon fell asleep on her lap. I felt her caressing my hair softly and I snuggled in sleep.

Mahir :

While I was passing mom's room I saw Bela with maa and smiled seeing them talking so freely with eachother. I was standing there and looking at Bela without them noticing me. Bela then fell asleep on maa's lap and this made me smile seeing her innocence. Mom was slowly caressing her hair and kissed her forehead. This time I went in.

Mahir - maa!

Sumi - mahir you? Do you want anything beta?

Mahir - no maa, I just came like that.. is she fine? (Indicating Bela)

Sumi - yes mahir, seems like she was missing her family. I don't know why always good people have to suffer the most, but it's ok you don't worry she's fine now

Mahir - are you comfortable maa? Or should I take her back to her room?

Sumi - no mahir! It's ok, actually I'm loving it. You know na I always wanted a girl child but couldn't, and whenever I see Bela I honestly feel her as my own child.. let her sleep with me only

Mahir - hmm

I smiled and turned to go but I looked at maa again and hugged her, I remembered how maa raised me and yuvi after dad's death. I was just 15 years when this happened, It was a heartattack and since then maa was totally changed. She only cared about me and yuvi's well-being and nothing else. I always wanted to make her happy and now seeing her happy with Bela I was happy too.

I too kept my head on mom's lap beside Bela and thinking about mom and dad I don't know when I fell asleep.

Bela :

Next morning I slowly opened my eyes and realised that I slept on Sumi maa's lap last night, but the thing that shocked me was mahir beside me.. he was also lying on Sumi maa's lap. I got up and sat on the bed immediately. May be coz of the moment, Sumi maa wokeup.

Bela - I'm sorry ma, I din't know how I just slept like this.. because of me you had to sleep sitting only...

Sumi - no beta, it was completely fine for me.. moreover i wasn't uncomfortable as mahir usually sleeps like this whenever he feels sad or when he remember about his dad
