That night
KND and the rest of their class managed to arrive with a few minutes to spare, but they still had one dilemma.
Karen: who's gonna be Aurora while Tamera's asleep?!
Samuel: who else? You of course.
Karen: me? I'm the narrator, besides Tamera and I look nothing alike.
Shawn: it's close enough, you both speak foreign languages and you both have a foreign parent.
Karen: so does Imogen!
Imogen: well I'm a fairy, how am I supposed to get the wings off in time for that scene?!
Steven: whatever, we have one more hour till Tamera wakes up, we have to make every minute count!
Samantha: now get over here so I can curl your hair.
They were able to pull off the pricking scene, though it was a bit shaky since Karen can't see without glasses. They finally made it to the kissing scene, but Tamera still hadn't woken up.
Nigel: she's still not awake! What if the cure didn't work? What if we were too late?!
Samuel: calm down, if worst comes to worst, she'll wake up long after you kiss her and bring down our points. Now get out there and put on a show!
Keith: why are you suddenly so pumped up?
Samuel: I did not agree to act like a Disney character and put this on just so we could drop out halfway.
Karen: that's the spirit.
Kissing scene
Nigel knelt down beside Tamera's sleeping form.
Nigel:{please wake up Tamera}(kisses her gently)
After he kisses her, he moves back and waits anxiously for her to wake up. She suddenly started to wake up after a few seconds and then opened her eyes and took in a deep breath.
Tamera:(sits up and looks around) what happened? Where am I?
Nigel: you are a princess, you were put under a sleeping spell by an evil witch. I am Prince Jordan, and I have broken the spell.
Tamera:(catches the drift) thank you brave Prince, you have freed me and my kingdom, we are forever in your debt.
Nigel: if you would allow it, I would like to have your hand.
Tamera: and have it you shall.
The curtains close and Karen comes out.
Karen: and so this beautiful tale comes to end, the Prince married Princess Aurora, and they lived happily ever after. Thank you all for attending, but for now we bid you farewell.
The curtains open and all of KND class are gathered they all bow before Karen goes closer and the curtains close.
Announcements for the results
Judge:... In second place we have,from sophomore year, C class! They might've gotten first place if it weren't for their unnecessary extension of dialogue and their exchange of actors during the play. But they do get first place for best props and equipment. Can the director please come and collect their prize and trophy? As well as a letter for one of their member.
Karen:(goes and collects the prizes) at least we won first place for something.
Samuel: I'll say, my acting wasn't for nothing
Meanwhile
Nigel and Tamera were talking.
