Team Trials

<Ash POV>

It had been one week since I'd picked up Blue from Lumiose city. She decided to be a falcon due to thinking they were much better than the Wolves. At training it seemed like Serena was trying to approach me, but couldn't.

Trials went amazing.I hate to admit it, but if it wasn't for Gary I'd be pretty embarrassed.It was on Tuesday at 6 pm.

<Flashback to Tuesday 6 pm>

I made it to the trials at West Park. Alain threw me a white bib and told me I would play for the whites. I looked around my team and saw I was on Gary's team.

"Just make the runs Ashy-Boy. I'll do the rest,".I looked at him in disbelief.

"No way Gare-bear!"I was passed the ball and I passed it back to them in a moment of panic.My teammates looked at me like I was a idiot for doing that.I groaned and apologised before running again.

<Ten Minutes Later>

I'd been running around when Alain was supposed to pick the final 14 in the final game. It had been halfway through when I played striker when Alain came over.

"Your out the team. Go home now!"He said like an emotionless old man.

I was about to walk back to the wolves clubhouse when Gary walked over.

"Alain. Give him one more chance. If he fails then send him home,".Gary had that I wont take no for an answer look on his face. Alain caved.

"Fine.Five minutes,".He pointed to the pitch and me and Gary walked back.Gary looked me in the eye.

"Swap with me. You play on right wing while I play midfielder,"I nodded and the game begun. Richie Hiroshi passed down to me and I ran like nothing mattered. I knew this was my last shot to prove I wasn't a flunk. Just when I got to the outside of the box, I was took down. Gary handed me the ball and pulled me forward.

"Show Blaze he made a mistake to doubt you,".He whispered in my ear and I gave him the nod of approval. 

I placed the ball down.

I walked back 3 long steps.

I ran to the ball.

I kicked it, picturing all I had learned.

It flew through the air.

The goalkeeper looked like he stopped it.

It hit the bar.

And rocketed into the net.

I SCORED!!! I ran to the corner and without thinking, did a back flip.

My team mates ran to me and patted my back and hugged me like I just won a free ticket out of school for us all. I looked around and saw Alain writing something on his tablet. I saw Dawn and Misty giving me a thumbs up while Pikachu cheered for me. I felt like I was on top of the world after scoring for my team.

I was on top of the world.

<10 minutes later>

I was walking down with Gary when I felt my backpack vibrate. Gary must of got a notification from his tablet too. I turned on my tablet and saw that the team of 14 for the Wolves had been updated. I scrolled down and saw I was on the team as number eleven. Alain walked past and threw me and Gary a shirt.

"Welcome to the team boys,".
