Death Note is the type of anime that I feel most people with a dark sense of humour would enjoy. To be honest, there were so many times that I laughed so hard that it felt like I was watching a comedy. Now, as you can tell by the title of this anime, there are a lot of deaths. I stated earlier that most deaths are implied (eg. *switches scene* "100 people have died in the past week!"), however, there are several deaths seen on screen. Most of these are heart attacks with no gore, but there are also people being hit by cars, dying in explosions, committing suicide, and being shot to death. None of these are graphic, but they may be for someone under the age of ten. Anyway, all of the characters are thought through and you can tell (except maybe Misa, but I believe that she was just brainwashed.) The characters that just seem "stupid" actually get character development, which is new.
