Author's Note:

So after I have completed two exhausting weeks full of work, I can finally present the next chapter to you. It was actually pretty much finished for days, but I just didn't have time to edit it, which is why it took longer than planned.

At this point I just want to say thank you again to my readers. Every single vote and word from you means a lot to me :) Thank you very much for letting me share this story with you.

Have fun with the next chapter <3

---Kindom of Sindria, Palace of Sindria---

It was pretty lively during dinner, but Ja'far had been silent most of the time while he kept glancing at Salome every few moments. She did her best to ignore him, but she couldn't help wondering if she had said something that had pissed him off before getting to the dining hall. However, every time she looked in his direction, he didn't seem to look very angry but like he was trying to scrutinize her. As if he wanted to solve a riddle, he just can't decipher right now. But at the same time he looked somewhat sad, as if her words from earlier had strung at his feelings. Hinahoho, on the other hand, seemed incredibly balanced after he had caught himself after their conversation. Before another general could have taken the seat, he sat down next to Salome and had given her a warm, encouraging smile, that seem to deliver his thanks without saying a word. Sinbad had made sure that she was sitting to his right, while he had taken the seat on the head of the table. After briefly glancing at him, Salome concluded that he also seemed to be relaxed, even if she felt that he hardly took his attention off of her either. It was a bit unnerving to know that the king and his adviser observing her more or less discreetly, after leaving the earlier conversation without a comment. It was like, as if unsaid feelings were hanging in the thick air, wishing to be discussed. But overall, however, the entire dinner was quite pleasant. Pisti, Sharrkan and Yamraiha ensured that the conversations at the table did not die off, while Pisti set out to pester Malik and Salome with questions.

"So you have to keep the stupid mask on in order to not blind us all? Well, that's what I call dramatic!", She commented rampantly, while Malik continued to chew on his bread nonchalantly, while nodding his head. Salome was sure, that if he wouldn't have to hide his eyes, she would have caught her brother rolling them in annoyance.

"I wonder if you can keep up with your wings, against the Papagoras from the surrounding forests. We absolutely have to fly against each other! Taking bets and all.", Pisti decided excitedly and seemed extremely satisfied with this idea, while she clapped her hands in anticipation.

"Hmm, maybe I'll take part in the race.", muses Sinbad after sipping wine from his golden goblet. Pisti immediately shook her head vehemently and pointed her finger accusingly at her king.

"No way! You just cheat anyway, Sin!" She grumbled stomping her foot on the ground to clarify her point of view. Surprisingly it was Malik who spoke up next: "Then I'm out too. I would actually be more interested in how fast the King of Sindria can fly with his Djinn eqiup, than some big birds from the forests." With her arms crossed Pisti sat down again, giving Sinbad a defeated look.
