"Woah"
"Yeah, that's pretty much it, if you have any questions then ask."
"Correct me if I am wrong, but the main picture is this: you had an accident the next day of graduation; you were taken to a hospital and you went into a deep sleep like sleeping beauty-
"Coma" Jem pointed out.
"Yes, THAT, I don't like calling it that."
Jem nodded.
"Anyway you woke up a few days back, and you came here straight, to meet me?"
"Yes."
There were still some things that weren't adding up.
"What is it?" Jem asked.
"Hmm?" Will looked up towards him.
You have that look on your face, Jem pointed. "Go ahead, ask."
Will sighed,"Why didn't they call anyone? You must've had your phone with you? Wallet?"
"I didn't, I stepped out for some fresh air, I didn't need either of those things and I left them at home. No one could identify who I was, or where I came from," he said.
"Or maybe they just didn't put enough effort," Will rolled his eyes, "I filed a police report, I followed up with them but they didn't do anything. I tried looking for you myself, I tried asking around but no one knew anything," he concluded.
After a short break, he spoke again, "So you were in the hospital, all by yourself? All this time?"
"I wasn't alone, the staff was there-"Jem started.
"You know what I mean" Will said sternly.
"Will you couldn't have known and it doesn't matter what happened, where or how I was. What matters is that I'm here, now."
"I'm afraid you'll leave again," he mumbled.
"Pardon?"
Will chose to ignore this. Everything was a huge mess. It was simple, but at the same time it was complicated. Jem had explained it to him in simple words, yet he couldn't wrap his head around it.
Who would've thought that stepping out of the house for some air would result in an accident so fatal that put James into a coma state. For a whole year, Will had no answers, and now that he did- he wasn't satisfied.
But William let it go, he kept his fear aside and let it go because Jem was right. It didn't matter what, when or how it happened. What truly mattered was that a thin, silver-eyed boy was sitting in front of him.
Alive and breathing.
"Earth to Will!" Jem called out.
"Sorry, zoned out." Will replied.
"Figured."
Jem and Will looked at one another with a small smile. For a moment, everything around them seemed to collapse, all the hurt seemed to fade away. Everything was blurred except the two boys sitting on the couch, clear as water of and as pure as snow.

It had been hours, Jem and Will spoke, they caught up on everything. Will told Jem about Tessa, what'd gone down between the two of them. Jem told the boy about everything he could see and hear at the hospital. There were instances where they would both fall quiet. The silence was comforting though, as much as talking was.
Knock Knock!
Will looked back at the front door, confused once again. Nevertheless, he made his way and opened the door to a young man in-perhaps-his twenties.
"Yes?" Will questioned.
