Jungkook was too flustered that he wasn't even able take his eyes of his feet to take in the presence of another human.
He only realised someone was standing in front of him once he saw a pair of shoes ahead of his own. He then glanced up and was met with none other than the person he liked.
"Hi Jungkook? Were you the one who sent me the letter?" Taehyung asked him.
Jungkook was too surprised to see the person standing in front of him that he couldn't even decipher what the other person had asked him, he was just staring at the other's face in complete awestruck.
When Taehyung noticed Jungkook wasn't able to hear him and was gaping at him like a fish, he let out a small giggle.
The sound of the giggle caught Jungkook's attention and he realised that he wasn't paying attention to what the other person just said. This made him even more flustered and he also returned a small smile back.
"H-hi! Um, could you please repeat what you just said? I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention." Jungkook spoke awkwardly and a blush slowly crept on his face.
This made Taehyung chuckle and once again he repeated his question.
"Yes, it was me. I gave the letter to the girl so she could pass it on to you." Jungkook said blushingly. He also noticed that the other person was standing so he asked him to sit next to him so they could be more comfortable while talking.
When both of them were settled, both of them were shy so nobody spoke for a while. To stop making the atmosphere more awkward, Taehyung decided to speak first.
"Hi again Jungkook, I'm Taehyung and I did read your letter yesterday."
When Jungkook heard this, he again became nervous and looked away from Taehyung to hide his face to gain a bit courage and asked "Did you already made your decision?"
"I'm sorry, it's too early for me to make a decision" Taehyung replied. "But, I gave it a thought and decided that we should first get to know each other more and take things ahead slowly." He said with a small smile.
First reply made Jungkook to lose his hope, but when he heard the later part he got so excited and gave Taehyung a huge smile.
"Thank you so much Taehyung, I'm so happy you gave it a thought and gave me a chance to know you better.
Since, I've liked you for a while now, I've always wanted to get closer to you and know you more but, I never had the courage to approach you face to face.
Somewhere in the back of my mind I didn't approach you because, I thought you might take me as a stalker or something so to not scare you off I decided it was better for me to keep my feelings to myself for now.
You see, the time moves so fast that I didn't even realise that it had already been four months since I started liking you. Along with the time, my feelings also started growing for you and I just wasn't able to keep them to myself.
I have always been a shy person so, to confess to you face to face was out of my comforting zone. That's why I settled with writing a confession letter. And, here we are now."
Jungkook spoke these words without thinking too much because he has always thought about them whenever he was thinking about Taehyung, so it came naturally from his heart.
When, Taehyung heard Jungkook's words his ears perked up and he became too flustered and started blushing. His eyes were wide open and watched Jungkook. He was left speechless. His mind was still contemplating what he heard and his heart was fluttering. He didn't know what was happening, but all he could feel was a warm feeling rising in his heart. Little did he know, his heart had also made a small space for Jungkook.
