As soon as the gang and I were assigned to the clearing, I chose a few supplies. I went to the supply cabin and picked a few weapons like baseball bats, guns, and a few ropes along with food. I came out of the supply cabin just to look at Jazmine and Desmond, arguing over mostly nothing important. I dawdled to them so I could eavesdrop on them. As soon as I was close enough to them, I noticed that everyone in the room had quietened down by observing my actions and by noticing that Jaz was furious and sad. I settled there, listening to their argument. The topic was about me being fragile. Jaz stood there explaining that Atlas and Desmond should stop fighting around me since it saddened me. Atlas and Desmond tried confessing that they would try a little and Jaz snapped and explained to them that just trying a bit wouldn't help and that they should change themselves. Desmond eyed like he wanted to scream and throw punches at Jaz. So I stepped in and glanced at the troubled teens and told, "You guys don't have to change yourselves for me, I like you for being you." I smiled. The other guild members gasped and looked shocked. The only people I smile to were my friends. You could see the respect forming in their eyes for Jazmine, Desmond, and Atlas.
We got out of the guild with the supplies I grabbed, and we went on our way. Atlas knew how to drive, well I mean we all knew how to drive, but he was the only one with a clean record for driving. Atlas took the wheel while Desmond jokingly sang, "Jesus is taking the wheel~", this earned him a slap on the back of the head from Atlas. Atlas said that we had both good and bad news, we asked him the good news first. He said that the splendid news was that we would reach there within half an hour, then he said that the dreadful news is that the gas would be almost over by the time we reach there. We all glared at Jazmine since she was the last one to use the car. Jaz just gave us a small guilty smile, and we almost forgave her immediately. Almost. Okay, let me rephrase, we forgave her a teeny bit. We barely reached the site, all of us got out of the car and went into the clearing. The place was not as clear as the name. Zombies and Phantoms were crawling and shuffling in almost every direction, but hey, this area was the most supplied. We had to raid this area.
We got into the area by climbing an 8-foot fence. For Desmond, Atlas, and Jazmine it wasn't much of a problem since they were lanky, but I was short. It took me a few more seconds than them. We all looked around at the "clearing". The area had a lot of Zombies and Phantoms and even Incubuses? I thought they were actually "myths", now looking at how we have Zombies and Phantoms. It just made perfect sense. I looked at my Jaz and asked, "Are these, Incubuses?", Jaz just grinned madly and looked around. I looked at Desmond, but even he was grinning. I walked over to Atlas, the most mentally stable in our group (yes I, Victoria Evergreen is not mentally stable). I looked up at Atlas and asked the same question. He looked at me and smiled and said, "I suppose they are, but I'm not sure". I looked around too, I grabbed the materials that were the closest to us. I walked farther, unconsciously holding my bat. I thought Atlas or Desmond was following me, but as soon as I heard growling I turned around to meet with a hideous Zombie. I swung my bat as a warning, but it still shuffles towards me. I looked at the Zombie and said, "Say your prayers that they may incarnate you like a flower or something." I swung my bat straight at the head of the Zombie. He asked for it and I gave him what he wanted. As soon as I decapitated him I walked towards the supplies, I was eyeing before the Zombie came. On closer inspection, I saw something weird, so I went to check it out. It was a... bloody... hand. I glanced at it and just took the supplies and ran towards the direction that Atlas had wandered to, I only saw him standing and... talking? It looked like he was talking with someone, I didn't think much of it and went up to him. I looked up at Atlas and showed him the supplies I got, and I glanced at the person he was talking to and looked back at the supplies, but I took a double-take when I saw the person. She was not there in the car with us. I looked up at Atlas with fear lacing my eyes. He looked at the supplies and then at me and said, "Vicky! The supplies look good!" He notices the fear in my eyes and says, "Don't worry! I met her while scavenging for supplies. She was tied to a cage." I pulled Atlas by the ear towards an area where the "new Individual" could not hear us. I looked at Atlas and smacked him on the head, I looked at him and went, "Είσαι ηλίθιος! Δεν μπορείτε να εμπιστεύεστε άτομα σαν αυτό, ειδικά σε τέτοιες στιγμές! Δεν ξέρετε ότι θα μπορούσε να είναι ένα Incubus?"(Translation: You're an idiot! You can't trust people like that, especially in such moments! Don't you know that it could be an Incubus?) He looked at me confused since he didn't know Greek. I slowly translated and looked at him. He just smiled and said, "I do not trust her but I will help her a bit by saying that if she gets out of here she can join guilds".I looked at Atlas with the rage of a thousand suns. I look at him dead in the eyes and said, "We are not saying a thing to that... Individual. That could be an Incubus in disguise. You have no idea how dangerous that could be.". Atlas nodded and said "Get ready", I was in confusion, get ready for what? Atlas took off running with no specific plan in mind, and like the idiot I am I followed his actions. He ran to the gate which was our so-called "spawn point". I reached there panting since I wasn't mentally prepared to run like that. Atlas turned around and faced me and asked, "where do you think Desmond and Jaz are?". I looked at Atlas with the most irritated look and yelled "ARENT YOU THE 'GENIUS'", he looked at me smiled, and said, "thanks for the compliment". I couldn't say if he was joking or not. He looked at me and back at the fence that we climbed when we first reached here. I looked at him and shook my head, there was no way I was gonna climb that again. He sighed and started to climb the fence again. He reached the other side and ran to the car and used the horn to draw attention to us. I wanted to strangle that idiot, by honking he did grab the attention of our members, but he also grabbed the attention of the Zombies and Phantoms. I climbed the fence as it depended on my life (now that I look at it, my life was on the line), Jaz and Desmond came towards the car, running and screaming like mad lads, I looked at them just to see around a hindered Phantoms and Zombies behind them. Desmond let Jaz climb first, I chucked a bat over the fence. Desmond saw it and caught it. Desmond went full zombie killer mode on those zombies. Jaz reached the other side, we all looked at Desmond, hoping his ugly face (jk. he is beautiful.....or is he?.... I guess we will never know) could get over the fence, and he did something unexpected... He jumped as high as he can and chucked the bat at me and climbed till the top and jumped down to our side. We all ran to the car, forgetting there is no more gas left....
(this chapter is horrible, forgive me! I will make it better when I'm editing.I was rushing in the 3rd paragraph!, I will rewrite this in the next update, Chapter 5 will take a few days)
