AN: okay first off, I'm sorry for the update taking such a long time. Understand I live in northwest Florida. Not only were we hit by the pandemic (my husband is a nurse practitioner who had to treat his patients for it) my area was hit by a wildfire (that almost no one knows about) and two hurricanes.
Things happen.

I can't always get on my phone to clear my head and write. I love seeing all of you so enthusiastic about the series, believe me, it makes me feel so warm. So keep the comments coming!

You Know Who You Are

I do not like to open hate messages that only talk about me not updating and how awful of a author I am. I will not tolerate that anymore.

If it continues, I will block you from reading anything I write.

Thank you.

Mae sat up in bed and stretched. Her body and head ached.

It was later that night. She stood up and went downstairs to see everyone watching a movie.

"Hey my love. You're awake." Xiumin pat his lap. As she walked towards him, she glanced at the others and when her eyes hit Chanyeol, she saw a glimpse of vision. Memory?

It was only for a split second but.... there was blood on his hands.

She shook her head and everything was back to normal.

"Mae? You okay?" Xiumin paused the movie.

"I'm fine... what are we watching?" She sat down.

Her head pounded as if there were 50 inmates screaming for freedom.

"Fuck!" She held her head and closed her eyes.

"...there you are..."

The voice echoed in her head.

"I-" she looked to the boys who were obviously confused and concerned.

"I think I just need some air." She got up and hurried outside. It was dark and the moon lit up the grass wet from rain.

Then it happened.

Her eyes rolled back into her head as she fell to the ground, her body shaking as it seized. The boys found her second after.

"CALL AN AMBULANCE NOW!!" Xiumin screamed and tried to help her.
But there was nothing he could do.

There was a mark on her arm. It looked like two triangles connected by one circle.

Soon enough, the seizing stopped and she was fully unconscious. No breathing. Xiumin began chest compressions, crying as he pressed. He was incoherent. As the ambulance arrived, she was breathing again, but still unconscious. They scooped her up and immediately hooked her to machines.

"I'll be right behind let me get my keys!" Xiumin told the driver. The ambulance sped off. He walked up to Chanyeol and punched him in the face, throwing him to the ground.

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" Chan held his bloody lip.

"I know your marks when I see them. You better hope she's not dead or you're gonna wish you were." He hissed. "Don't let him leave!" Xiumin told the others as he got in his car and sped off.

The next morning she woke up to a doctor injecting her with something. Mae tried everything to reach for the nurse to stop but... she couldn't move?

She tried to speak.

Nothing?!

"She's awake!" Xiumin held her hand. The nurse looked up and started explaining things to her since she had such obvious eyes of terror.

"It's okay. Your body is in a state of temporary paralysis. It should be back to normal in a few days. You've been here since last night when a large infection caused your brain to seize. Its going to be okay. We will only ask you yes or no questions from now on. Blink once for yes. Twice for no." The nurse reassured.

It helped but not too much. Mae looked to her side only to see Xiumin fuming with anger.

"Baek is here. He will stay with you. I have something to take care of." Xiumin stood up and left the room.
