We were failing them; Blackbeard had caught up and now we were tied to his damn ship with no escape plan posing itself to us. I can feel the concern and defeat radiating off of Peter and Tiger-Lily as they remained tied up beside me, watching Blackbeard as I myself am. I scan the area around us, my eyes taking in the breath-taking small balls of light that are clearly fairies, there is so many of them, so many that Blackbeard can destroy as he stares at the fairy prixime all around us with excitement in his deranged eyes. He was winning, he had found their sanctuary from him and now he would destroy it and them without a care in the world.

"Wakey, wakey! Rise and shine!" he shouts in his deep voice, the dark tone being enough to chill me to the bone. "That's where we are going; the fairy hive." he mutters to his men as he stares in awe at the brightest and biggest light of all just ahead of the ship. "Destroy that and we destroy them all." he laughs menacingly, like a mad man on crack.

"Peter, look." I whisper as one of the fairies Blackbeard smugly beckons to the ship appears just in front of Peter, hovering just in front of his face as he stares at it in awe and sadness.

"Her name is Tinkerbell," he says as a smile curves on his lips, "I can hear her."

"They have been waiting for you, Peter."

"You have to get away from here, he's going to destroy you all." Peter tells the fairy with tears brimming in his eyes, his voice breaking slightly as Blackbeard turns and notices Peter and the fairy, the same deranged and amused smile on his face. "I know what I was meant to do but I failed, I'm sorry." the fairy turns and flies off as Peter calls out another apology causing me to frown with sympathy for him.

"Alright, boys! Let's burn them!" Blackbeard growls.

"No!" Peter and I shout in horror whilst watching helplessly as the pirates set fire to the innocent fairies around us.

"Please, I'll do anything!" Peter pleads through his tears. "Please!"

Blackbeard turns to us with a deep frown, "oh, don't beg." he says with a disapproving tone.

"Anything!"

"No, it is bad form to beg," Blackbeard mumbles whilst jumping down to stand in front of us, "where is your sense of honour, boy?" he asks before pulling his sword from its sheath on his hip and cutting the rope around our wrists. He lifts the sword once more and aims it at Peter with a hard expression, "now, kneel." he commands. I smirk as Peter doesn't move an inch, his expression hardening whilst he stares Blackbeard in the eye with no fear present. "I said kneel!" Blackbeard barks furiously.

"I am the son of a warrior and a prince; I will never bow down to you. If you're going to kill me then get on with it."

"As you wish."

I shake my head with a pleading expression, my fear for Peter's safety overriding my previous anger and hatred as I look up at Blackbeard. "You don't have to do this." I tell him softly, silently pleading with him to spare Peter, trying desperately to reach his humanity or what little of it that may still remain within him.

Blackbeard glances to me as another deranged look flashes in his eyes, "no, but I really want to." he replies as he lifts his sword to swing it only for the ship to tremble from hitting something. I frown and turn my head to the right only for a smile to curve on my lips as I spot the ship James had left on earlier crash against Blackbeard's. My heartbeat stutters the moment my tearful eyes find James as he stands behind the steering wheel of his ship with a wide smile on his face, he lifts his hat in the air whilst shouting. "Did you miss me?!" making me laugh lightly. He had returned to us; he didn't abandon us.
