Chapter 4

Ella smiles widely and jumps happily while walking to her house. She felt really grateful to encounter her oppa Lisa. She takes out the spare key from her pocket and opens the door.

"M-mommy.." Ella lowered her gaze once she saw her mommy face.

"Where have you been Ella? You should come home at 12p.m. what time now?" Her mommy asked sternly.

"O-one..."

"Yes one! Now tell me young lady, where have you been? You know I'm really worried because I didn't see you at home! I look for you everywhere Ella." Her mommy said while tears threatened to flow on her cheeks.

"I'm s-sorry mommy. I went to buy you and dada a muffin for your birthday but someone almost hit me and made the muffin fall from my hand and smear on the road."

"WHAT!!!??? Are you okay baby? Did you hurt?" Her mommy ran towards her and checked her body. She felt relieved once she saw her daughter was okay.

"I'm okay mommy. That oppa had turned her bicycle before she hit me."

"Oppa?? She?? Ella if he is oppa then you should use he and not she."

"No mommy. She is a girl but I preferred to call her oppa cause she is really beautiful handsome." Her mommy shook her head after hearing her daughter's explanation.

"How many times do I have to tell you baby, you should not talk to strangers. It's really dangerous."

"I know mommy, but oppa is really kind. She even got injured because she fell from her bicycle while trying to avoid hitting me. And she also buys me muffins to substitute for the muffins that fall on the road."

"Have you apologised to her and said thank you for her kindness?"

"Yes I did mommy. Oppa said it's okay as long as I'm safe." Her mommy patted her head. Their conversation got interrupted when someone opened the door.

A man walks up to them and hugs the woman. He kissed her right cheek.

"Hi baby"

"Hi Kai!" The man lower his body and kiss Ella's right cheek.

"Hi baby Ella. What's that?" Kai said while eyeing the paper bag in the girl's hand.

"This is chocolate muffin for mommy and dada's birthday." Ella replied cheerfully. The man turned to look at the woman. Guilty can be seen on his face. He pulls the woman in a hug and mumble sorry.

"It's okay Kai, I know you are busy with your studies. Don't worry about that." Jennie patted his back.

"Sorry Jennieyahh... I promised to make up with you. I'm really busy with my thesis until I forget about the important date today. 'Our birthday'. How about... we are going to eat street food today! Yeayy??!!" Kai said enthusiastically that made the girls cheer happily.

"Cool!"

"I want chicken!"

"Anything for you baby Ella and you too baby" Kai said sweetly. The three of them go to their room to prepare themselves before going to eat the street food.

Lisa is driving to her father's company while Leo is sleeping beside her. Every minute she will turn to look at her son's sleeping face.

'My ball of sunshine'

She parks her car at the reserved parking in front of the LM building and carries her son who is comfortable sleeping on her shoulder.

The receptionist bowed to her once she entered the building. She goes straight to the elevator and pushes the second top floor.

From a distance she spotted her father's secretary Miss Yeon.

"Good evening Miss Yeon, is my father in there?"

"Yes young master, Mr Manoban is waiting for you. Please knock first before you enter." Miss Yeon said then smiled at Lisa that made Lisa smile back.

Lisa walks to her father's room. She knocked twice before hearing her father shout 'Coming in'.

"Hello father"

"He!-hey my prince" Mr manoban lowered his voice once he saw that his grandson was sleeping.

Lisa walks to Mr Manoban coach and lays Leo comfortably there. She walked back to Mr Manoban's desk and sat in front of him.

"How are you my prince?"

"Dad~ stop calling me that."

"What?? Haha you are my prince right."

"Ughh you never change my old man."

"Hey! I'm only 53 okay. Still strong and still can manage to give you brother or sister. Just your mother refuse said that she tired and can-"

"Stop it dad. I don't want to hear your sexual frustration here." Lisa covers her ear with both of her hands that make Mr Manoban chuckle.

"Okay-okay I will stop. So... how's Leo?"

"He is fine. But he is still learning to adapt with the new people. Luckily Nayeon unnie is my friend and always comes to visit us, so Leo felt comfortable with her. So I can leave him at school without worrying much." Both of them glance at Leo who is still sleeping on the coach.

"Good to hear that. Being a single parent is not easy but I believe you can manage that. By the way, please come visit home more. I'm tired of hearing your mom nagging because you rarely bring Leo to visit us at home."

"Sorry about that dad. Well I'm kind of busy lately. Need to manage Leo but I promised I will visit mom and you when I can manage Leo better. So dad, why do you ask me to come?"

"Actually I want to ask for your help regarding our company. You know Seungri Technology and Multifunctioning company?" Mr Manoban ask seriously.

"Yeah I heard about that company. They manage to bring billions in profit every year. Why do you ask me about that company?"

"Well... I got the project from that company and it's a big opportunity for our company. I had given you manage some projects before and many of our clients were very satisfied with your idea and work. So... I want you to manage this project with STM company." Lisa eyes wide open hearing her father's words. She looked at his father like his father had a horn on his forehead.
