" Morning everyone " I greeted. That morning I woke up late. Probably because last night I was spying. Everyone was sitting at the picnic table outside with their breakfast burritos Hazel and Samantha made. I quickly sat down next to Jack and grabbed my burrito.
" How did everyone sleep last night? " Samantha asked. Thankfully she asked. I didn't want to ask the same question over and over again. I'll seem suspicious.
" I slept great, I just had trouble sleeping at first but then it was great, " I said.
" Jack and I slept great, we didn't wake up at all, " Richard said. Lies! I clearly saw one of the boys creep down. I also heard a male voice when he was calling.
" Great, " Hazel said.
Tonight, I have to see that guy striking again. I have to investigate more. What was that guy looking for? And who was it? I was sure it was one of the boys, but could it also be one of the girls?
When the sky went dark I prepared dinner with Hazel and Samantha. We served the food and quickly ate it. After that, I decided to go to my sleeping bag and lie down there while reading a book.
At precisely 9.00 p.m, everyone went up to sleep. Everyone thought I was asleep but really I wasn't. I was determined to investigate more about the mysterious person creeping in our cabin at night. It clearly was one of us. Or could it be someone from outside? But how could it be? No one has the keys except me.
I lied on my bag staring at the ceiling. My mind was blank. I didn't know what was happening. Could one of us be a thief? I can't even imagine that.
I stayed still staring blankly at the ceiling for an hour or so. Everyone was already asleep. I suddenly heard the rustling sound again. It's the sound of our sleeping bag. I glanced a bit to my left and saw someone sneaking. Now I was positive that it's one of the guys. Or at least a guy. I carefully waited for the person to come down and then I followed, but he never came down. He got up and got back down. Suddenly, I heard a lot of noises. I could see he wanted to stay quiet but he couldn't. I moved my body a bit to get a better picture. Then I saw it. The shadow of someone very near me. I could hear him breathing. He was looking through one of our bags. I didn't know which one of us because it was too dark to tell. I decided to keep watching him. After 10 minutes, he stopped looking through the bag and sighed. He went back in the sleeping bag and then I heard snoring.
Since the guy I'm spying is asleep. I went back to sleep.
