Chapter 1 ~ The Beginning ~

This book is not based on any true events, or anyone who I know that have experienced anything like this so I just wanted to clear that before I start.
I decided to take the part of Maya, and Aria will be played by my best mate dontjanoimfabulous

As I slowly walk off of my plane, I look up to see the beautiful sun appearing from behind the clouds.

I trudge into the bag-ache area to collect my bags when I spot Kayla, sitting on a bench already with my bags.

"What are you doing here?!"

I ask her as I wrap my arms tight around her neck.

"Well I thought that I should probably come and pick my sister up from the airport, since she is living with me and all," she replied in a sarcastic way.

I smiled.

"Come on, you must be knackered?"

"Yeah I am pretty wiped out from the flight," I told her.

We walked out of the airport and to her little Mini Cooper that was sitting in the car park.

"Nice ride!"

I tell her as we close the trunk, which was quickly filled with all of my bags.

"Yeah, I got it 4 months ago... So NO feet on the seats!"

She demanded as I slowly placed my feet back onto the floor of the car.

After 3 minutes of being in the car, I instantly fall asleep.

One 3 hour drive later, we finally arrive at her apartment.

It takes us 10 minutes just to bring all of my bags in!

"I didn't realise you had so much stuff!"

"Neither did I."

As I walk in, I see that she has totally re-decorated the apartment. there is; a beautiful centre island with cool looking barstools in the kitchen, along with a big fridge/freezer, a cooker, a stove and an oven!

Attached to that is a smaller living room with 2 small arm chairs and a 3 seater leather recliner couch. Directly in front of the couch, is a flat screen TV, mounted on the wall. Under this, is a dark oak coffee table, with a scented Yankee candle and the remote, sitting on it.

It was 6am when we had finally got everything into the apartment and actually sat down.

I had just taken my shoes off.

"Oh my bloody God! You have no idea how good that feels!"

I say, quite dramatically.

"Yeah well your gonna have to put them back on..."

She startled me with what she had just said.

"What! We have just got in! we aren't going back out are we?!"

"Yes, I have a little treat to show you."

I wait. Wondering what it could possibly be?

"Can't it wait until a little later on? It's 6 o'clock in the morning!"

"No it can't come on."

I trudge out of the door and into the elevator with Kayla.

"How long is it to drive there?"

I ask.

"Who said anything about driving?"

She replied with a slight laugh.

My eyes widen. Trying to figure out if she was being serious or not?

"It's only a 5 minute walk away,"

She eventually informs me.

That's not too bad I guess.

The whole walk to this mysterious place, I don't say a word. I'm too busy trying to think of what it could be.

She suddenly blind folds me and I let out a high pitched squeal.

I shout at her.

"What the hell! You know I don't like things that cover my eyes!"

"Sorry,"

She apologises, as she grabs my arm and gently begins to pull me over what I think is fields of grass...

So what did you guys think to my first chapter? What do you guys think to Maya's character? And Kayla's?
What do you think the surprise is going to be?
I will give you a clue, it's not necessarily for Maya...

I have decided to update chapters to this book (if needed) every Monday. And new chapters will be released every Wednesday/Thursday. Unlike my other books I would like to get this finished so you can all enjoy it.

Teaser: Maya finds out what the surprise is, and she also has to start thinking about going back to school since she is now back from Australia.
