II. Unexpected - Komaegi

Waking up at 6 in the morning was rare for Komaeda, what was even rarer was to find that Naegi was fast asleep next to him, head pressed against his chest. The other's hands clutched at Komaeda's shirt.

Komaeda simply smiled and kissed Naegi's face. First his eyelids, then his nose, cheeks, everywhere he could reach. Naegi didn't stir, much to Komaeda's relief. He felt the faint morning light emit from the window, casting light on everything it hit. Komaeda took these moments to just admire the hope laying against him. Before Naegi came along, he could never imagine anyone wanting to touch him, much less literally sleeping with him.

With this thought in mind, Komaeda decided to test his luck. He leaned down and kissed Naegi on the lips, not expecting much of it. Just as he pulled away, however, Naegi pressed back.

Komaeda's eyes flew open in shock and he fell off the bed with a thud. He groaned and rubbed the site of impact, the back of his head. Naegi swiftly leaned over, worry clouding his gaze. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" he rambled. "I just- I don't know what I-"

"Makoto, you're fine. I was just... shocked, that's all," he reassured Naegi with a smile. I really need to say his first name more often... he reminded himself.

Komaeda lifted himself back onto the bed next to Naegi, Naegi opting to wrap his arms around Komaeda almost as soon as he was in 1 foot of him. Komaeda smiles and reciprocates Naegi's actions, melting into the other's embrace.

Naegi looked up at Komaeda, grinning. Komaeda noticed this and raised a brow. Naegi instantly reached up and pushes his lips onto Komaeda's. Komaeda smiles through it and kisses back, feeling one of Naegi's hands run through his tousled bed hair. It felt like an eternity they stayed like that when in reality it was about a minute or so. Komaeda was the first to break apart, smiling like an idiot.

Dull green eyes stared into grey, and it stayed like that for a while. Naegi rested his head back against Komaeda, humming softly.

"I love you so, so much. Don't ever forget that, ok Nagito?" Naegi whispered.

Komaeda buried his nose into Naegi's hair, murmuring: "I love you too. And I never will forget, you're so amazing."

Naegi didn't bother to refute his compliment as he'd normally try to do. Instead, he sat with Komaeda, hugging each other without a care in the world.

I wish there were more moments like this- just me and Nagito, Naegi thought as he closed his eyes.
