"It's absolutely gorgeous!" Tessa Gakuso marveled. "What do you think, honey?"

Kairi stared at their new house, speechless.

In addition to the crown of Pokémon League Champion, Kairi's victory also brought her and her mother paid residency into one of Luxen's most expensive neighborhoods, courtesy of Lady Hera.

The house was three stories, with beautiful looking arches and balconies. Likewise, on the inside we're multiple pristine looking furniture that would all fit well in Luxen Grand Suites.

Kairi and Zoroark were amazed as they explored the building, admiring the look of it all and exploring the different rooms within.

A large outside swimming pool, a movie theater, spiral staircases that swirled onto the upper floors, separate bedrooms for Kairi and her mother, all of it was present.

The main living room especially gave off the signature wealthy atmosphere known by Arim's capital. Included were two leather couches, a grand fireplace, and a large holo-screen on the wall. In addition, a large transparent case stood next to the fireplace where Kairi's title strap could be displayed.

She carefully placed it, shutting the top with a perfect fit.

...Pokémon League Champion. Is this real life anymore?

"I can't wait to video chat with everyone back home!" Tessa exclaimed excitedly as she walked in with Bisharp. "All the hired butlers and yard workers will arrive tomorrow. Also Kairi, don't forget Lady Hera will be visiting later this evening, so dress nicely."

"I know, don't worry!" Kairi replied, laying down on one of the couches. The leather felt so incredible that she could imagine herself sleeping there instead of her new bed.

"Zor..." Zoroark stated, sitting next to her.

"Yeah me too." She responded. "Although, it's kind of a shame that you still haven't been to DYSK yet. I mean, given where we are I don't think that'll be much of a problem."

The euphoric feeling of joy Kairi had experienced after beating Miko and winning the League was admittedly waning. She enjoyed the luxury of it all, getting the chance to meet with the Senators again and even more high up people, but at the same time she wasn't as prepared for her life to change so quickly as she had initially thought.

Like she had said herself, it was almost definite that she would be able to visit everyone in Sector Xevl at DYSK again and maybe even stay there for a few nights. Kairi had already decided to give a large portion of the Champion's paycheck to them each time she would receive it. There was no doubt she would miss the shelter, especially after all they've done for her and her mother. It was only natural that she'd give back.

But the one thing that continued to bother her was Hazel's absence.

Now having her cellphone back, Kairi had instantly texted her and asked how she was doing. She even made contacts for Dakota, Taylor, and Andrew, texting them all similar things.

There had yet to be a response from any of them.

Surely I didn't put down the wrong numbers, did I? Even if I did, at least Hazel would've responded...
