Ahgony was in Rhage’s room, and how weird was that.
Hollywood had actually called him over to discuss how they would deal with this Blax guy. Now that Ahgony and Mariah had fought, Rhage was actually confiding in him.
How fucked up was that.
- Look man, she has been spending time at Safe Place, so we know she hasn’t been seeing this guy. V says he is ok. Glymera, but one of the good ones. He runs the new clinic with some other guy and apparently he’s great.
- Awesome.
His tone suggested it was anything but. Rhage kept talking.
- His mother, Tina Henderson, was human. MIA since he was 13. Supposedly she gave birth to Mariah and then disappeared altogether.
- Right…
- I told V to look deeper. I don’t want Mariah near this guy.
- Yeah, me neither, but…
- I’ll make up the dirt on him if I have too, you feel me?
Ahgony just looked at Rhage. What the hell was he supposed to say to that?
He wanted Mariah happy and safe. But he did not want to lie to her. Ever.
Then again, Rhage was asking him for help, which was a first, meaning that could get him points.
Which meant fuck all if he crossed Mariah.
Shit. He just couldn’t win, could he?
- Aggie, you with me or not?
- I…
A knock on the door made him sigh.
Rhage opened and he tensed when he heard Mariah’s voice.
- Hey dad, is mahmen here? I need to talk to her… Oh. Ahgony… uhm hi.
She actually evil eyed him and he almost grinned.
- Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt anything important. I’ll go find mom.
- Toots…
She stormed off before Rhage could stop her. He rubbed his face.
- Man, things are really cold between the two of you huh?
- Yeah. She thinks I’m the one who snitched. About Blax.
Something crossed the brother’s face but it was gone before he could decipher it.
- Rhage, what if we just let her get to know the guy? As much as I hate to admit it, maybe he actually is decent.
Rhage shook his head.
- I’m not feeling it Aggie.
- Just think about it. For her?
Rhage looked at him and nodded just once.
- But I am not making any promises.

Mariah found Mary in the kitchen, preparing food for her dad. Natch.
- Hey ma.
Mary looked up and smiled at her.
- Hi Tinsel.
- Can we talk?
She looked around at the doggens working in the kitchen.
- In private?
