As a child we all suffer traumas, events  in life that mold us into the person we were destined to become. Some even call it fate. Mine just tragically had to happen with the death of my parents.

I woke up due to a loud bang from somewhere outside, it was dark and hard to tell anything from the dimly lit outside, it was still dark the sun was no where near rising. My parents quickly scrambled to their feet running for their blasters. We are under attack. My face swelled up with tears as they flooded across my face.

My mother tried to calm me and swipe up the tears falling down my face as quickly as the poured from my eyes.

"Finley your father and I love you so dearly, you are our warrior. We both love you with our whole hearts and no matter what happens we will always be with you" She said trying not to cry herself.
She made a gesture to the necklace I was wearing with a Black sparking jewel that had been engraved.

"When you miss us just look at your necklace to remind you we are always here." She lifted my chin up before wiping away the few remained tears as I sniffled wanting to pull myself together.

I was a kid I didn't deserve this. My parents didn't deserve this.

My father reassured my mother with a rub on the back trying his best to calm her. The attackers were approaching , their footsteps echoing closer as they made their way to our home. My mother gave me one last hug before picking me
up and placing me in a trapdoor underneath the floor before closing me in. It was time.
The shots of blasters rung throughout the air as my parents fought their hardest to resist defeat. Alas it must have been no avail, soon the shots seased and all went silent.
The front door opened and voices could be heard.

"General! the house is empty no one else in sight" One muffled voice spoke up. They must have been standing directly on top of me.

"Good work soldier! Let's head back to the ship we have prisoners to deal with" Another muffled voice responded, I assumed the general.

"Captain Soula, you should have known better, a shame that things had to end this way, an unfortunate turn of events" The General spoke up.

"And Ms. Soula, how unfortunate your life ends here" The General _ with a snear chuckle. My mother screams broke the silence followed by a series of blaster shots echoing through the air.

"You bastard!!" My father screamed at the figures outside," You killed her!"

"Like I said, how unfortunate things had to end this way, Load him up soldiers, he goes back to base for further interrogations".

I woke up in a cold sweat, the screams of  my parents still echoing in my ears. I ran my fingers through my hair still trying to process it all. It was for sure a terrible dream, a traumatic experience that constantly replayed in my mind over and over again since childhood. Revenge was coming, my parents would be avenged.

I sat up at the edge of my cot and tried to calm myself down, the barracks were crowed with other troopers getting ready for this morning's briefing, we had a mission later this evening. Something about a rebel supplies base being located.

I sighed before starting to put my white amour on piece by piece, it was against the rules to walk around the halls without it. I pulled my wavy dark brown hair in a quick messy bun before taking a deep breath and put on my helmet. I stood up and began to join the line of troopers before marching off into the briefing room. We had to know what we are up against.

"Troopers yesterday evening we were given word from an associate that a rebel supplies base has been located outside of ___" General Hux spoke up. "Today mission will be split up into three groups, one from each side and one down the middle having a late deploy and charging into the base before using dedinators to blow it up."

"You are dismissed" Captain
Phasma ordered, We all saluted before marching on to complete daily chores.

That afternoon after the briefing many of the other stormtroopers began prepping for the later battle, Hopefully to come home with another successful win.

I looked at my helmet I was holding in my hands and sighed heavily. Was my destiny even worth these meaningless tasks? I shook of my downing thoughts. This is just the beginning, soon the First Order will succeed and my vengeance will come. I leaned back on my cot and stared at the ceiling my mind whirling with thoughts, not paying attention much to anything going on around me

"Everyone it's time to line up and head to the loading bay" One of the storm troopers commanded.

I sat up from the cot before putting my helmet on and joined the line. Now or never. This was only my third mission outside of training. Graduation felt like only a little while ago, I remembered everything, I was 18 then. Somehow I had forgotten how old I was. Counting back that puts me at about 21 give or take a few weeks.
I took a deep breath as we marched on, heading straight for the loading bay to be assigned ships.

"Soldier LB-1339, board Second ship" General Hux commanded, I was next in line.

"FS-1269, board Ship Three" He commanded as I made my way to the ship.

I had been assigned to the third ship,I'd have a delayed entry compared to everyone else, we were the main offense, goal to charge the base and secure the area to deem it no longer a threat. Easy if all goes according to plans.
We all gathered in our assigned seats before a dark figure emerged, it was hard to confuse him with anyone else. Kylo Ren. He boarded with out a single word, only the echo of his footsteps as he made is way to stand in the front of the ship.

Having him onboard just seemed to make me even more nervous then I already was. Everyone slightly stumbled as the ship took off singling we were well on our way to our destination
