                                       chapter 9

I'm so exhausted from tossing and turning all night. Maddie was right, the bed it's hard solid.

Like how can anyone sleep in this. I might have back problems before my parents even leave.

Yes I could have switched back to my room when our parents left,but Maddie beat me to my room . She slept early before our parents left to their hotel and everyone knows Maddie is a heavy sleeper.

So i had no choice.

Although I did have the couch. Which I don't know why I didn't just slept there last night.

"Stella , you up yet?" Maddie said walking into the room.

"What'd you think?"

"woah someone is sassy." She laughed.

I rolled my eyes and gave her a hard glare.The sun already forced a way in through the curtains. Of course, that wouldn't have stopped me from laying in bed all day but our parents were probably on their way over here.

"What's the plan for today?" I asked getting into my worn out slides.

"Well first thing is getting up because they'll be here in no time."She said opening up the curtains ,the same way I had when she was hungover. "Secondly get dressed we're in charge of getting Chris from the airport."

Maddie waited for my response, though she knows I'll be happy.

"He's here?"I got up quickly.

"Well not yet but his plane arrives soon."

I haven't seen my brother for what feels like months. After my parents divorce he'd tend to spend more time with my dad in meetings. It's not like he wants too because he actually confessed that they were boring.He's not into business , and still yet attended because he was asked too.

On the other hand , I haven't even spent quality time with my father. He always claimed too be 'busy' when not in meetings. Even though it was tough, I often go on like it doesn't matter to me.

"We're driving my Moms car there."She said.

"Okay" I responded.

My phone soon started to vibrate and lit up. Travis name clearly showed on my bright screen.

"Hello?"I answered.

"Quick question."

"Caden?" I ask confused."Why are you calling from Travis phone?"

"Not important."He waved me off."How long will Travis have to stay here ?"

"I- um I don't know a few more days."

"Fuck me,just my luck."he whispered too himself.

"What's going on?."I chuckled.

"Gotta go." He sighed.

"Wait Cade-"

He hung up the phone before I was able to question him more then he wanted.Instead of calling back I texted Travis' what's going on?" and hit send.

"Stella hurry up they just got here."Maddie yelled from the living room. I can tell she's running around from all the loud footsteps.

Before I left I made sure too make the bed and tidy up more.
