11 - Luke and Reader (Part 1)

I packed my handbag about an hour before I was supposed to meet Luke in front of Purgatory Hall. I usually hung out with the demon brothers and ended up packing the same stuff as when I hung out with them.

Snacks for Beel in case he gets overly hungry, tissues for Levi when he realises he's missing a special anime showing, a notepad and pen for Mammon so he can work out how much he's spending (it doesn't stop him from spending more), a few band-aids in case Satan gets scratched by a stray cat, a small make up kit for Asmo, hand sanitizer for Lucifer, and gum for Belphie to help him stay awake.

(Lmao idk man I tried to think of something for all of them ^^;)

"Alright, that should be everything..." I mumbled to myself, "Oh! My purse..."

I rummaged through my desk and chucked my purse in my bag. After grabbing my jacket and putting my shoes on, I walked down to the entrance. I knocked on Levi's door as I walked past, reminded him to get some rest, gently woke Belphie up and reminded him of his homework then told Beel not to eat his food too fast. Asmo and Satan waved to me as I left the House of Lamentation.

Luke was waiting just outside Purgatory Hall with a cute little smile. I waved as I called out to him.

"Luke! Sorry, I'm a bit late!" I said as he turned to face me.

"Y/n! Don't worry about it, I'm sure those idiot demon brothers were the reason." He said, always making sure to restate his 'hatred' of demons.

"Hmm, isn't it a bit cold out? Shouldn't you grab a jacket or jumper?" I asked noticing his outfit.

"I'll be fine, don't worry!"

"If you say so. Shall we head off then?" I asked and he nodded.

On his DDD he had a schedule for the afternoon. First on the agenda was lunch, a picnic at what Luke described as a 'cute, usually demon free' park. He picked up a small picnic basket and we began walking. Luke talked about the Celestial Realm, telling me I had to visit one day, and asked about the Human World, mostly about different kinds of sweets and desserts.

Luke's pov

Y/n helped me lay out a blanket big enough for both of us, and set up the food I had made.

"Oh, it all looks wonderful!" She said, then took a slice from one of the cakes, "Amazing!"

"I know, righ'? I ha' Barba'os help." I said with a mouthful.

"Luke, don't talk with your mouth full, it's rude." She said and I nodded sheepishly, "So, Barbatos helped you, then? You seem to get along well with him."

"Pfft, as if. I could never get along well with a demon." I said,  and she raised an eyebrow at me.

"If you say so." She said with a light laugh, "Hmm, maybe you should bake something for Barbatos as a thank you. I'm sure he'd like that."

"...Y'think so?" I asked and she nodded, "I guess it couldn't hurt to make something."

She ruffled my hair, "You're a good kid."

"Hey! I'm not a kid!" I said, pushing her hand away, making her laugh.

"Alright, alright."

We finished the food, not as fast as Beel would have though, and Y/n decided to pack the leftovers to give to Beel. We strolled around the empty park for a bit as I talked about the Celestial Realm. And also our studies. Y/n often helped me study, so I always liked her reaction when I told her I got a good grade.

Y/n listened intently. She was always so nice to everyone, never leaving anyone out of a conversation and always listening. As much as I loved talking about my home, I began asking her questions about how she found it here.

"How is it living with the brothers? I bet they're super annoying." I said and laughed.

"It's nice, and not all of them are 'super annoying'." She said, looking up like she was thinking of something.

"Oh, so you like them?" I asked and she nodded, "Who's your favourite?"

"Ah, I couldn't pick a favourite..." She said, hiding something.

I stared at her, "Nope, you have a favourite. Let's see... Is it Lucifer? Maybe Levi? Mammon? Beel?"

I stopped naming them after Beel, because her reaction told me everything. Her cheeks dusted with pink and she looked to the side.

"So Beel is your favourite?"

"Wh-what? I just said-"

I rolled my eyes, "No point lying to me. Even though I hate demons, you can talk to me about them. I am your friend, right?"

"Of course you're my friend." She said with a soft smile, "And I suppose you're right, Beel is... My favourite..."

She looked longingly and the ground, almost sad. I suddenly knew how to repay Y/n for all her kindness and help.

"You like him a lot, don't you?" I said and she nodded, "Why don't you ask him on a date? That's what you do when you like someone, right?"

"Well, yes, but I'm not sure he feels the same way for me." She said with a nervous laugh.

"Are you kidding? Have you seen the way he stared at you? How he does practically anything for you?"

"Uh, w-well..."

I sighed, "Alright, I suppose I'll have to help you then."

"Help me?" She asked, confused.

"Help you date Beel!" I smiled and she blushed again.

Originally this was just gonna be y/n and Luke hangin out but it was wayyy tooooo short (although it's still short now lmao)

Dunno when the second part of this is gonna be ready, might do an asmo x reader first (although I do hate him, I kinda have a maybe cute idea for it - it may or may not include an asexual reader ;) (only if you guys don't mind of course ;^; ) )
