13 - Mammon X Reader

Btw this is like sort of a human au so no demons/angels etc?? Idk ig they're still in the house of lamentation for some reason bit yeah :)) and sorry that it's a bit short :'(

ALSO I am VERY far behind on the game because I am annoyingly busy >:(( like I'm only on lesson 30, but I'll try and let you know where I'm at every one shot ( °>°)

Y/n's POV

I woke up in the middle of the night to a message from Mammon saying he needed me down in his room immediately. Sighing, I got out of bed and put on a dressing gown. I made my way down to Mammon's room, wondering what he would have called me for.

"Mammon?" I knocked on his door and wisper-yelled through it, "Are you decent?"

"Come in." A muffled voice called.

I opened the door and Mammon's room was a mess. Tissue's were spread around the room, blankets half off the bed. Mammon looked worse.

"Y/n, could ya get me a class of water..?" He asked, his voice tired and hoarse.

"Aw, Mammon, you don't look to well." I said and sat down next to him on the bed, placing a hand on his forehead.

"Gah, get off!" He said, waving my hand away.

"You're burning up, let me-"

"Noooo!" He groaned and rolled over, so his face was in his pillow, "Go away."

I shook my head and went to get cold medicine and other things for Mammon. He wouldn't let me do much for him, so I mostly just sat next to him as he took the medicine and laid back down. After he fell asleep, I went to get up, but something grabbed my hand.

"Oi, Y/n, who said you could leave?" He mumbled.

"Um, you wanted me to leave a moment ago." I said, sitting back down, "But if the great Mammon wishes for me to stay, I guess I'll stay."

"Ugh, shut up." He said, and was back to sleep in moments.

I'd fallen asleep sitting against the bed head not long after Mammon, and awoken to his alarm. I quickly turned it off and checked if my friend next to me was still resting. He was still snoring, and I noticed he was cuddled against me.

I wanted to get up and let Lucifer know that Mammon wasn't feeling well and would stay home from school today, but I couldn't move. I really didn't want to wake Mammon, so just grabbed his phone on the bedside table and unlocked it.

"Oh?" I was shocked when I saw my contact name and photo.

The my contact photo was a simple picture of me smiling, with a filter of a flower crown. Mammon must have taken this photo secretly and edited it, as I'd never seen it anywhere else. My contact name was 'annoying bastard 💕💖'. It was adorable.

"Hey!" Mammon quickly snatched his phone from me and sat up, then coughed harshly.

"Ah, don't get up so fast." I said.

"Shut up..." He said, laying back down.

I put a hand on his forehead, "Are you feeling any better?"

"No."

I sighed and he rolled over, opening his phone. He grumbled something, and I heard my name so I assumed he was talking to me.

"What was that? I can't hear you if your talking to the wall." I said.

"...it's nothing." He sighed, and I stood up.

"I'm going to tell Lucifer you won't be going to school today." I said, "I'll come check on you when I get back, okay?"

"...I've Already told Lucifer I'm staying back, and so are you." He said, showing me his phone.

"Why do I have to stay back too?" I frowned. I had a test today, and I didn't want to miss it.

"Someone needs to look after me." He said and rolled back over.

I sighed, but smiled, "Alright, let me go grab some more stuff to fight your cold and I'll be right back, okay?"

"Yeah, whatever..." He mumbled, "Don't take too long, idiot."

I leaned down and placed a kiss on his forehead, making him go even redder.

"Oi! What was that-" was all I heard from him before I was out the room.

UM SO HI HELLO :D IT'S BEEN A WHILE HEY

I'm really sorry I haven't been writing anything, school just started for me (I live in Australia btw if that helps with knowing when I have school holidays) and my 6 week holiday that just finished was also very busy, though I did get a couple things updated with other stories!

I have a few one shots in the works rn, so I should be posting some more things soonish-- but I'm already receiving a pile of homework like, every week,,, and it's very draining :(

ALSO I HAVE A COOL ANNOUNCEMENT!! My friend started a podcast!! And I will be in it too :D

It's called The Bees Knees Podcast, it's done on Twitch, where she also plays Minecraft, BUT I think it would be really cool if you guys could come support her!! We also have a discord for the podcast, where I am very active and would love to talk with you guys more!!
