It was just in Moon's hometown Viridian City in the Kanto Region, where Moon decided to start a new journey in Alola!
Of course, she will also come with her twin brother, named Sun. They were so ecstatic, and couldn't wait to meet new friends, rivals and maybe new Pokémons! They knew some Pokémons had Alola Forms and that they were different from the Kanto Region.
Moon's POV

"Heya, Sun?" I'd look at Sun with a smile. "Yeah?" he'd look at me while packing his bag. "Do you think I could be the Champion?" I'd continue packing my bag, "Silly! I could be the Champion of Alola." Sun would laugh.
"Well, let's wait and see then!" I'd glance at him.

Of course, Sun and Moon are also very competitive! They both have the desire to be a Pokémon Master.
But, there's still a long way ahead.

They'd both finish packing, and they'd both wait outside for their adopted mother and Pikachu to finish packing.
(By the way, Pikachu isn't packing his own bag if you get the wrong idea.)
After they were all finished packing, they made sure they had their passports and tickets to fly to the Alola Region!
