At lunchtime many of the year 7 students gathered in the library. Usually they ate food and messed about but today no one dared to take a bite out of their lunches.

"I'm saving my food for when I'm really hungry!" announced Jane

Everyone agreed. Most of them had brought there lunch down with them in fear that it would disappear from their peg that sits outside their classroom. They tried to use the computer but Internet Explorer would not open.  "They should've installed Chrome" one of them joked. Everyone giggled. A few younger children who had just come out of the lunch hall wandered into the library and started peering out of the bordered up windows.

"Don't do that," Yasmin said as she walked over them. "You don't need to worry! We'll protect you!"

Everyone got up from around the small area near the computer and sat around the main reading area. The younger students left the library as their friends called them from the small ICT suite which was directly across the hall from the library. They sat there for the whole lunchtime chatting, laughing and not worrying about the future.

"Lunchtimes over by the way guys" Carla pointed at the clock "I don't really feel like going back to class!"

"Me either, We're all having such a good time here." Lee said. Everyone nodded in agreement. "Lets just stay here and wait for someone to notice we're not there!"

They all continued to chat.

After 6 or seven minutes, they heard loud noises coming from the corridor. "Here they are" Somebody muttered. The rest of the year 7 class were walking down from their classroom, following Mr Clawson.

"There you guys are!" He announced "I thought you'd be here! Lunchtime was over 10 minutes ago! I told you all that after the bell went off to be sat in your seats in the classroom!"

"Sorry. we were just tidying up. We thought you'd be coming past here to go to PE so we just waited!" Lee said as they all picked their stuff up from the floor.

"Why were you all chatting around that area then? If you were 'Tidying Up'?"

"We had just finished, we were just getting out bags."

They all joined the line of students.
