mariano castaño and valentina reyes have been best friends since forever and together they join the new tiktok house, "the vault." perhaps some feelings begin to show themselves between the pair.
1 week later when the guys came back i pretended to be sick so i didnt have to see mariano again. he tried calling but i had my dad tell him i was sleeping. he seemed to get the hint and didnt call anymore. he would text me good morning and good night. 3 weeks later i was only able to say i was sick for a week. i had to go back to school. fortunately for me i only had to see mariano for 2 weeks because we were all put under quarantine. and today samy called telling me mariano broke it off with alessya. i hadn't spoken to him since school ended 1 week ago. he had called and texted but i told him i was talking to someone which was in fact a lie. he couldn't argue how i used my time because he always had spent all his time talking to alessya. 1 month later we have officially been quarantined for a month and 1 week. i only spoke to mariano when the guys wanted to do a group facetime, which happened to be every single day. at least i wasn't alone with him. the both of us had been included in the making of the vault house which would become a new tiktok house when quarantine ended. i would also see him a lot when we all facetimed to discuss the housing and stuff. i got along well with everyone and so did he. at times i would catch him just staring a his screen. maybe he liked one of the girls. devyn, rave, addy, kaylee, peyton and maile were all really pretty girls. 1 month and 3 weeks later i hung out with the guys for the first in 3 months. i had missed them all so much. including mariano. i couldn't really keep my distance from him because he would follow me around. samy told me mariano looked like a lost puppy. 1 month later valentina.reyes

"imma miss you dumbasses." i mumbled onto samys shoulder. he had his arms wrapped around my waist tightly. aside from mariano he was next in line as my best friend. we lived right across from each other. he was the only one who knew about my love sickness for mar. "ill miss you more." he grumbled into my hair. i pulled away and went to hug luca, ash, mike and chris. by the end of the hugs, tears fell from my eyes at a steady pace. samy and luca were recording a tiktok much how we had recorded one for mar when he left for LA, about 4 days ago. i was unable to go with him because it had been my dads birthday yesterday and i wanted to stay for it. he had offered to wait for me but I declined. i truthfully didn't want to spend a 12 hour airplane ride with him. "flight 48 to los angeles, california now boarding." "if the plane crashes... remember i love you guys." i told them dramatically. all i got in response were eye rolls and a chuckle from mike. i flipped them off, sending mike a wave and began walking towards my terminal with my suitcase rolling beside me. "LOVE YOU VAL!" i heard as i handed the lady my ticket. i glanced back seeing the guys waving frantically together. i smiled, my heart filling up with love before blowing them a kiss. i watched in both amusement and sadness as my friends pretended to catch the kiss and fight over it. i giggled waving one last time before walking towards the airplane. "ill miss you guys." i whispered. short time skip as i made myself comfortable in my window seat, samy sent me a tiktok. i clicked on it and it took me to peytons tiktok. she was a pretty ginger. i was pretty good friends with her. mariano and keith were in it. why did samy send it? i continued watching till i saw peyton checking mar out.

i breathed out, annoyance filling me. i went to the comments and a small smile spread through my face, seeing her comments filled with my user @. people had been tagging me and telling me to get to los ángeles fast. i turned my phone off. stop it. if she likes him than she likes him. doesn't matter.
during the past 4 months, i had my love for mar turn into a small crush. it also helped we were quarantined. i had at the same time pushed him away. talking to him less. we were still best friends but it was different. he had also stopped talking to girls overall after alessya which was also around the same time i kept my distance from him. he never told me why and i didn't ask. after the plane ride i groaned feeling the humidity and warmth as i walked off the platform. i had slept 80% of the way here, the rest listening to music just staring out the window. i walked to the luggage area and quickly spotted my bright red suitcase. as i waited for it to get closer on the conveyer belt a pair of arms lifted me up in the air with ease. i struggled before hearing a deep throaty laugh. "mar put me down fucker." "woahhh is that any way to talk to your best friend?" he asked placing me down and grinning down at me with his pearly white teeth. he currently measured 5"10 while i measured 5"0. i smirked. "what do you mean? im talking to you not samy." "funny." he replied grabbing my suitcase from the moving conveyer belt. i smiled. "are you the only one that came to pick me up?" i asked as i stood on my tippy toes trying to see if i could spot any of our friends. "just me. we haven't hung out just the two of us since before quarantine so..." he scratched the back of his head, shrugging slightly. my smile widened . "so you told everyone to stay? including malcom?" i asked knowing the answer already. "man shut up let's go." he huffed, his cheeks turning pink with embarrassment. i giggled following behind him. he glanced back at me with a bright smile. "let me be the first to welcome you to LA la cuidad de los ángeles." he spoke.
