Love at first sight was always the little joke that bubbles in your mind from time to time. It was all foolish. How could one ever fall in love with another just by their mere presence, without knowing the in and outs of their personality, having no idea on who that person really was.

Oh, how much you want to prove people that love at first sight wasn't real, how their hopeless romantic selves should at least experience some sort of realism in their life. And it wasn't until somebody helped you with your standpoint.

His name was Min Yoongi.

The first day you met him was on the first day of classes. It was like every other day, the only difference was that you had to enter new classes. You already knew everybody around the school since you lived in a small area, so the idea of the first day of school was nothing special.

You sat at the back of the class, setting up all your items while everyone else interacted with one another.

"Is this seat taken?" The low voice that resonated through your ears gave you a startle. You looked up from the school supplies you set up on your table, facing up to see a boy wearing these round specks and a messed up tie around his neck. He gestured to the seat beside you, and you nodded with a soft smile to indicate that he could sit by the chair beside you.

He was new, you could tell by his curled up fingers that shows the tension in him and the slight shade of crimson that was painted across his cheeks. You thought he was cute. There was never one person that made you feel this way upon one encounter, but there he was, making you feel as tense and flustered at the thought of him sitting by your side for the rest of the school year.

On that day, the skies contrasted bright blue hues and the sun was radiating brighter than usual. The streaks shone through the new boy's face when he introduced himself to you. His eyes formed into crescents when calling out his name, 'Min Yoongi.'

"Well then, I'm Y/N." You took your hand out for him to shake, and when you connected, his hands were soft. When you pulled back, you directed your attention to the pencil case on the desk. You were never good with meeting new people, well of course that's expected since you've been so accustomed to the mediocre life in this mediocre town. This occurrence was no different. Small talk was something that you did not enjoy, and during the time where you stumble upon some small talk, you'd rather avoid the conversation at whole.

You wondered upon why such a boy moved to a boring town like this, when even his first impression on you was left nothing like boring.

As time went faster, your math teacher entered the room with a big frown on his face and coffee spilt all over his shirt. Today wasn't his day it seems, and you turned to Yoongi to give him a worried face. He responded by the small fit of laughter that escaped his mouth, making you beam in delight.

"Sorry I'm late, there was traffic." Your teacher scrambled to his desk, placing the coffee on the coaster, "Anyways, shall we start?" He looked at the class with a half grin, his eye bags were definitely popping and Yoongi on the side almost cackled at the look of your distressed teacher.

The teacher started jolting down notes that had to be copied down. When you searched your backpack for your notebook, there was none to avail, so without a second thought, you quietly whispered to the boy beside you for some line pieces of paper.

"Yoongi, do you have any paper I can borrow?" You ask troubled. Yoongi raised his brows at the word borrow, because how is it possible you can return used paper, you didn't notice the words you chose which made Yoongi's eyes crinkle at the corners.

"Sure, you can borrow my paper." His voice grew bubbly, "Just remember to give it back."

"You know what I meant." You rolled your eyes playfully and gestured your hands so he could give you paper.

You were embarrassed because you were never the type to forget something such as a notebook on days like this, but there was nothing you could do. Yoongi opened up his spiral bound notebook and ripped out some sheets. The noise was too loud that some students turned their heads to glimpse at the ruckus.

When Yoongi sent you the pieces of paper, your hands brushed slightly, making your heart beat at a faster pace from the contact. You needed to calm down, so while writing down the notes from the board, you covered your face with the other hand to rub your cheeks that were tempting to saturate.

Class went on with the complaint sighs from your teacher. There were times you occasionally glanced at the new boy to observe his features, and he would end up catching you at the act, making you flush. And there were times he did the act, and you would find him quickly glancing at you before he turned back to look at the board.

"Um, hey." Yoongi perked to your direction when the teacher was done teaching, leaving the class with a few minutes to interact freely before everyone heads off to their next classes, "I like your handwriting." He pointed at your notes.

"Thank you" You acted back, "Do you have your timetable?" Upon asking, Yoongi slowly pulled out his schedule from his backpack and gave it to you. When scanning it, your heart dropped in disappointment because this was the only class you had with the boy.

"Is there something wrong?" The boy questioned your wrinkled nose, and you right away said 'no', because the terrified expression etched on his face was from the thought that something wrong must have happened with his timetable.

"No, no. This is just our only class together." You purse your lips as you give back Yoongi's printed schedule to him.

"Ah, well then, there's always lunchtime?" Then the bell rings, and everybody stands up, along with you and Yoongi. You quickly gathered all your stuff and headed out the door with him.

"See you then?" He asks as his head tilts.

"Okay, sure." You smiled at him one last time before you separated ways. And that smile on your face never left until you entered your next class.

Having said all this, you wondered why Yoongi's presence made such a big impact on you, how he easily made your day a million times brighter. Was it really love at first sight? No, it couldn't be, because how can you fall in love with him so quickly without sparing a chance of knowing who he really was? It wasn't love. It was more like an attraction; an attraction of first sight. Never love. You shook your head because you were really going to believe in love at first sight.

Even when Yoongi made your heart flutter excitedly for the first time, you knew better than to consider that as love. You were just attracted to him. You were attracted by the way his eyes were covered by the specks of his glasses, the soft smiles he passes when you look at him, the kind acts he gives throughout the class.

It was the beauty of attraction that made it feel like it was love at first sight.
