Raelynn POV
"Raelynn! Come out 'n help your ma!" My dad yelled
"Yeah, be down in a sec!" I yelled back. I finished packing the last box and brought it downstairs.
"Hey love , can ya pick those up 'n put 'em in there?" My mom asked as she was putting another box in the truck.
"Yeah," I said while picking up the other boxes. She nodded her head in thanks and went back in the house to get more boxes.
I went back inside after I put the remaining boxes into the truck.
"Hey ma! Pa! Imma go ta V's house!" I yelled out as I went up the stairs to grab my phone and my keys.
"Sure hun, just get back 'fore the sun comes up!" My dad laughed out. I saw my mom slap my dad's shoulder annoyingly as I came down the stairs.
"Crew's gon' be there. Somethin' 'bout a good-bye hang out," I said to them.
" 'Kay then. As your pa said, just be home 'fore the sun comes up. Have fun, just don't do anythin' you'll regret yeah?" My mom said and then started giving me the eye.
"It was one time ma!" I said embarrassed. "Anyway, yeah I'll be back 'fore the sun comes up. V might want me ta stay over though, but if she does then I'll text ya 'kay?" I said as I hugged my mom.
"Yeah, that's fine. If ya do stay over, just be back by 3, 's when the movers come." My mom said as she hugged me back. I nodded and hugged my dad, then I was headed towards the door.
"Have fun!" My dad yelled back.
"Yeah yeah, love ya!" I laughed back and shook my head hearing a faint "love ya too" back. I went out the door and to my car seeing as my motorcycle was already at our new place. I went inside the car and headed to Veronica's house.
It took 15 minutes to get to her house and when I got there I was up and at the door before you can even say my name. I knocked and it was Tate who opened the door.
"Rae! Finally!" She shouted and hugged me.
"Yeah. Sorry I was late, had ta help put stuff in the truck," I smiled softly and hugged her back.
"Come in!" Tate laughed and let go of me, walking back to the living room. I went inside the house and closed the door, locking it. I walked to the living room and what I saw was a total mess. Rylee had Jett in a headlock on the floor, Jett was flailing around knocking down whatever his feet touched, JJ was sitting on the bench smoking a cigarette while talking to Kitt, Tate was trying to get Rylee to let go of her boyfriend, and Veronica was just sitting on the couch watching everything happen. I walked around everyone and sat on the couch.
"Hi bubba," Veronica said looking over at me and smiling. "How are ya?"
"Doin' fine V, you?" I asked.
" 'M doin' great now that you're here" she said smiling even brighter. My heart skipped a beat.
'How she do that?'
"Hug?" I stood up and asked.
"Course ya can, silly" she said giggling at the end. She stood up and hugged me. I lifted her off the ground and she wrapped her legs around my waist. We stayed like this for a few seconds before we let go of each other. I sat on the couch again and she sat on my lap facing the wrestling duo. I put my arms around her waist and placed my forehead on her shoulder.
"Why does Ry have JT in a headlock?" I asked looking at the two boys on the floor with a panicking Tate hovering above them.
"Well, Lee was bein' cocky, sayin' he could beat JJ in a fight 'n Jett stood up for him 'cause JJ wasn't doin' nothin'. Basically Jett embarrassed Lee 'n Lee got up 'n put Jett in a headlock. Tate was in the bathroom so she couldn't do nothin' ta stop Lee 'n Kitt could care less." V explained and I hummed. I looked up at RJ and Jett wrestling. Tate gave up on stopping them a few minutes ago.
