On your walk back to the Woodland Realm, you see a small child with a bow and a quiver full of arrows. The Elf girl is looking strangely at her weapon.
You walk up to her. "Do you need help, little one?" You ask, kneeling down beside her. She nods, her aqua eyes wide.
You look for a tree close enough with a thick trunk. You spot one and help the girl position her bow.
"Okay, so you hold it like this and with your other hand, you're going to nock an arrow." You say. The girl reaches behind her and grabs an arrow, carefully nocking. "Good. Good job." You croon.
You take her hand and help her pull back the bowstring. "Okay, so keep it right here. Just so." You say, crouching behind her. "Are you ready?" You ask. She nods. "Okay, release." You whisper. She obeys and the arrow hits the center of the tree. She squeals and jumps around, giggling. You stand and smile. You turn your head back to look at Legolas, who has a funny smile on his face. Your stomach jumps and you return your gaze back to the girl, heart pounding.
"Do you think you've got it?" You ask. She nods. "I do. I do! Thank you." She says, finally speaking. You laugh. "Have fun." You say.
You walk back to Legolas. "That was incredible." He breathes.
"What was?" You ask, looking at him.
"That girl didn't even know which side the arrow went on. And a minute later she's shooting trees, her hit practically perfect!" He exclaims.
You wave a hand in front of your face, brushing his comment away. "It was nothing, Legolas. Anyone could've done it." You say.
"Not anyone like you." He mutters under his breath. You blush and turn away, pretending you don't hear him.
