(AU: You can’t remember anyone’s name unless you love them, so even if they’ve just told you their name, you won’t remember it unless you fall in love with them. Because of this, many people come up with nicknames for their friends.)

Salty = Tsukishima

Freckles = Yamaguchi

King or Blueberry = Kageyama

Tangerine or Shrimp = Hinata

Firecracker = You

“King-kun! Wait for me!” You rushed after your friend, trying to keep up with his fast pace.

He stopped but scowled at you, “Blueberry is better than that,”

You giggled, smiling up at him, “But I like King-kun so much better!”

“Shut it Firecracker,” he muttered, turning around and continuing to walk, now at a faster pace then before. You were given the nickname ‘Firecracker’, due to your small size, but energetic and happy personality.

“It’s a new school! I’m sure people won’t care about your past!” You patted his back encouragingly then looked around, “Oh and where are we going anyway?”

We’re not going anywhere. I’m going to the volleyball gym and you decided to follow me,” he said in a disgruntled tone.

“Oh, okay! Race you there!” You took off and sped down the hallway, probably knocking like 10 other people over as you ran. It’s only now you realized you had no idea where you were going and had to stop, looking around only for your friend to rush past you. “AH-” Your eyes widened as you ran after him, trying to keep up. The two of you arrived at the gym and you flopped down on the ground, panting.

“I won,” your friend announced and you sat up, gaping at him.

“You did not! I won!” You protested.

“Huh?! I was clearly here before you!” He crossed his arms making you sigh.

“Whatever! C’mon Blueberry, let’s see if anyone else is inside!” You grabbed his wrist, dragging him inside the gym. Once inside you frowned, looking around, “Oh, there’s no one else here,”

“It doesn’t matter. Let’s just play some volleyball,” the tall blueberry muttered, walking over to the cart.

“It’s that kind of attitude that got you named King of the Court you know!” You scolded him, “You should be more friendly!”

“Catch,” he threw a volleyball at you.

“Hey! Don’t ignore what I just said!” You yelled.

“I’m going to set for you,” he said.

“Nooooo, I hate your sets. Can’t I receive your serve instead?” You groaned.

“Dumbass,” he muttered, but got in the position to serve anyway.

“Okay I’m ready- eh?” You glanced at the now open door and saw a boy, a few inches taller than you with bright orange hair.
