5 Years Later...

Downtown Los Angeles, California

Ness's POV

"General, we secured downtown LA. But there's still more soldiers coming.", I was looking at the battle plans on the table.

"Okay, pull our men back, and prepare for a ground attack. We'll take the rest of them here. Get our tanks ready." I turned around looking at the soldier.

It's been quiet up until recently when more n more random attacks keep happening. It's been a while since I thought of everything that happened the day Reign came. But these attacks aren't just random attacks. It's been 5 years, and over those 5 years so much has changed. Only a literal handful of enhanced beings are left around the world, Reign is now "the supreme ruler" whatever that means. After both losses, he gave the US government an ultimatum, capture or kill the enhanced beings, or world destruction. And which do you think the government chooses? Even after they choose the world is already destroyed. Cities crumbled, the environment fucked beyond belief. But I mean no one cares about that right? In case anyone is wondering also, Levi, and I are 2 of the only survivors from the omega team. The alpha team from what I'm aware of, had no survivors.

" okay the ground team is ready for your signal general." The soldier said, I started walking to the front of the compound, as I got a glimpse of the upcoming attack it didn't seem but only 200 men, and maybe 2 tanks. This should be easy.

"Hey babe, after this fight you wanna go on another date?" Levi said through the earpiece. I smiled because even after all of this shit, the last 5 years he's still the same.

"After this fight we deserve a week off." I jokingly said still watching as the tanks , and men drew closer.

"You know you'd think the US military would get the hint not to fuck with us by now." Levi laughed through the earpiece.

I exited the compound out to the battle field.

The double doors opened revealing me to the world.

"Just let us know when general." The soldier said from behind me. We had a couple of our renegades hidden so the upcoming soldiers wouldn't see them. Renegades being those soldiers who fight on our side, most of them being human.

"And.....GO!" I yelled getting a running start charging a group of maybe 20 of our best men, and women. The gun fire started, I squinted my eyes, before I knew it I felt the ground starting to shake.

"Okay boy's y'all may want to move out of the way." I smirked watching as a huge vine shot out of the group plowing right through the one of their tanks then falling on a bunch of their men.

I grew another one right next to me. I jumped on it shooting it right out into the main fight, I hopped off high kicking a soldier into the ground, turning around kicking another. "Okay babe, don't take all the fun" Levi announced, and before I knew it a huge drop destroyed their second tank making it explode. I used a vine covering me, and a couple of our men from the scrap pieces that flew off the tank.

I lowered the vine looking to see Levi with his sword in one hand , looking back at me smiling. "Secure the area." He said through the earpiece. I looked forward, seeing some men running beyond securing the area.
