Chapter 5: Oh fuck!

Chapter 5:

Kora's POV:

He frowns,"You haven't unlocked your power yet?"

I shrug,"I guess not. But what the hell do you mean by powers?" I question,"I already have greater strength and speed than any vampire or werewolf."

He leans back and crosses one leg over the other, and rests his chin on his hand. Thinking hard, then he shrugs,"Maybe you don't have any extra power."

I frown,"Well I hope that's not fucking true. What is your power anyways?"

"I can block mind links, scents of creatures, even supernatural abilities," he tells me,"Which is what I did to this house. I sealed it so you could not use your hybrid strength or mind link to leave."

Dammit! I want a cool power like that!!!

I shrug and look away,"Big deal," I grumble, putting up a whatever facade. 

He rolls his eyes,"Try not to dwell on it. We will train together, hopefully unlocking your power.”

I take a sip of my tea, then get down to business,"What are we going to do about the war? You said you would help me."

"I said I would help you train," he corrects me. 

I narrow my eyes,"I don't need help training, I need my brother!" I state, standing up,"Now, are you willing to help? Or are you too chicken-shit? Because if so, I will find someone else!"

He puts his hands on his lap,"Who would help you?" he questions,"They are all out to KILL you! Can't you see that I'm trying to protect you from this!"

I run my hand through my hair,"I get it! But keeping me here won't do any good. You and I both know that I will escape eventually."

He bows his head and sighs,"I know of one thing that might help us," he mutters,"It's said to be a myth, fairytale, a story that vampires and werewolves alike would tell their children at night to scare them."

I sit back down and lean forward anxiously.

“There is a map that is said to lead into a forbidden land, where a powerful hybrid lives,” he tells me,”If we could find him and convince him to help us, we might be able to stop this war.”

“Where is the map?”

He locks eyes with me,”It’s in the Vampire King’s castle somewhere.”

“Oh fuck!”

Sorry that its such a short chapter. But I will start updating faster now that Demon Of The Night is done.
