I throw my hands in the air and lean into them, sighing. "I've done this before. Why can't I do it now?" I whisper to myself, glancing at the few bars of music I had written. "Blair?" I hear Sebastian call. I sigh and rise from the piano stool, walking towards the door. "Ahh. There you are," He smiles at my flustered face. "Leave the music for today. Lyla will be here soon." He says wrapping me in his arms. "Yeah. I still have to set up her room," I say quietly pulling away. Lyla will help me write this album, she won't just say the same thing as everyone else does. "You'll be fine" or "You have done it before." I can do this with her help. I know I can.

"Blair!" she says running up the steps of our front porch, her red hair flying behind her. I grin and pull her into a hug, "I missed you so much." I whisper into her ear.
"I missed you too!" She laughs. I step back and notice someone loitering on the steps. "Spencer?" I ask. "Oh my goodness Spencer!" I rush over to him and hug him as well. "Oh yeah. I hope it's okay if Spencer stays too?" She laughs lightly. Spencer is Lyla's twin brother, who I haven't seen for years. "Of course it is!" I widen my eyes. Sebastian clears his throat behind me. "Oh yeah and this is my boyfriend, Sebastian," I say turning to gesture at him. "Oh my goodness you're the guy from Arrowheart!" Lyla say excitedly, moving towards him. I roll my eyes and look at Spencer, "Even she watches that show," I sigh, watching Lyla and Sebastian walk off, no doubt talking about Arrowheart.
"And you don't?" he jokes. I laugh and take his arm leading him inside, I notice his eyes widen at just one glance of my home. "So what do you do now? Still playing?" He looks at his shoes and sighs, "I finished law school and I have just started taking on my own clients," He says avoiding my second question. I let it go and gesture to the room he will be staying in, "There are fresh towels in the ensuite and extra blankets in the cupboard," I say with a light smile. He nods a curt smile, and I realise just how much I don't know him anymore. I frown to myself and keep walking down the hall, with him following behind me like a lost puppy. "This is the pool room, so feel free to take a dip, and there is a sauna to the right of it," I tell him, while he gazes at the sparkling blue water.
"You really are famous aren't you?" He points out, casually, but there seemed to be some sort of surprise, or bitterness underneath it all.
"It seems so," I shrug, "Come on lets go save Sebastian from Lyla's excitement."

I'm sitting cross-legged on my bed, Lyla sitting beside me like a mirror image. "How did you find such a wonderful guy?" She says wistfully, while flipping through the newest girl magazine, "See I want one like this guy," She points at a very attractive actor, not waiting for my answer.
"Lyla, you deserve someone that is kind and caring not just one of these shallow actors in magazines. Remember their personality in a movie is not necessarily what they are like." I advise.
"You found a good one though, so I might too." I flinch, then nod at her with a small smile.
"Surely there is a nice guy just waiting for you back in Paris," I widen my eyes and incline my head towards her, "You know where you live now; for your job," I say enthusiastically.
She blushes a little, and a small frown appears on her fair-skinned face.
"There was this guy, James was his name. He worked 2 desks down from me, and I had thought he was cute," She let out a sniffle, "But I just couldn't manage to talk to him, my voice faltered and do you know what I did when he said good morning to me?" She says looking up at me, "I tripped and fell, I wanted to die right there and then, but wait it gets worse. I said happy birthday when he helped me up instead of thank you." She let out a sob, after telling me.
I couldn't help but laugh, and when she looked at me distraught, I put on my best smile and say, "Hun, he probably didn't even notice,"
"HE LAUGHED."
"There you go, he didn't give you a weird look or walk off he laughed, it just shows you that he is a nice guy. Perfect for you."
I removed her hands from her face and she peeked out and gave me a smile that looked more like a frown. "You'll be laughing all about this when you're married with kids!" I chuckled as she covered her hands again.
"He won't want to speak to me again!" She says, laying back on my bed while knocking the nail polishes to the ground.
"I highly doubt that." I assure.

I drain the water from the pasta and empty the noodles into a bowl. While Lyla sets out the plates on our long wooden table. "Boy this smells so good I could steal it all for myself," Lyla says with big eyes. I smile lightly adding the meatballs and sauce on top of the pasta. "Thanks. It's-" Sebastian cuts me off. "I tell her everyday not to bother with dinner; we do have a chef around here," He shakes his head, "But she always insists." He sets his napkin on his lap and sits waiting for his dinner to be served. "She has always been like that," Lyla laughs, sitting down at the table. I move towards the table just as Spencer walks in. "Glad you could make it," I joke, "Some things never change." I smirk and he looks sheepish.

"And remember when we wrote that song together about that mean maths teacher!" I say to Spencer, barely being able to hold in the laughter. He smiles but it doesn't reach his eyes. I frown but shake it off and reach for the water; Just as soon as I picked it up, I dropped it. I clutch my wrist, grimacing and as I hold it, my sleeve moves, revealing black-blue bruises up my arm. I glance at Sebastian and he shakes his head at me. I drop my wrist immediately letting my top fall back in place and go to get a cloth. "Are you okay, B?" Lyla asks. I pick up a cloth and take a deep breath before speaking, "Yeah fine, it just slipped." I turn back to see confusion in her eyes, she always saw through my lies. I curse to myself under my breath. "I'm absolutely fine." I say, but it sounds fake. This time it is Spencer's shocked face that I see and it makes my stomach drop. What have I done?
