⊰ chapter three ⊱
"She is upset. I don't blame any of you, My King," said the blonde-haired tall man as he strolled beside the older man in his cloak. At night, the Kingdom would feel the cold blowing wind from the West while the noon stayed blazing hot. Theon paused after the King who stared at the gates of the palace. It was only when the King had sent a letter to Theon's chamber that he wanted a minute of walk around the Kingdom yards with him.
The King stated, "She is my heir, Theon. She is Zisk's tomorrow. She must not make mistakes,"
"The Princess has stayed away from the Kingdom for a long time. I cannot judge her if you are asking for my opinion. But yes, Dara is sensible. She is the type of person who takes things to her heart," Theon stated, thinking of the fact.
The man with the grey strands and wrinkled face shook his head, "I believe not. If she had to revenge me, she is the type of individual to slaughter me. Does not matter if I am her father or not. But she has a way of words to hurt you,"
"So Dara is not upset about you keeping her away from you for most of her life?," Theon frowned, feeling the ice-cold blow of the air from the West as he gripped onto his cloak.
The King nodded, "She is crossed about Jeon Jungkook,"
"We noticed,"
" Jeon is a good man. He has served me for a few years only but I have made the soldier out of him. With my own hands. That's what Dara despises," the King looked at Theon's concerned eyes, "You must take good care of your siblings, Theon. How is Adona doing?,"
"She is healthy. Waiting for his letters. They haven't arrived this month, she is worried," Theon let out a deep sigh. The King's eyes were seized from him and his grief to Jeon, who was walking up to the two. Jeon lowered his head at his arrival.
"Soldier," the King said.
"Your Majesty," Jeon bowed once more before bringing his eyes to meet the King's and then Theon's, "Prince,"
"Where are you off to?," Theon frowned with a smirk, "Off to the pub, yeah again? Did Dara permit it?,"
There was silence between the three before Jeon blinked a few times, "My apologies but I wasn't introduced to the occasion of the Princess's commands. I haven't received any,"
The King turned a little on the heel of his shoe before looking at Theon, "I will be speaking with the soldier for a while, return to your siblings and greet the guests,"
Theon gave Jeon a playful look before bowing and stepped away from the two. Jeon felt his guts tighten as the King patted his back before putting them behind him. He realized the King was walking and so he decided to follow him, "You look like you were off somewhere?,"
The soldier stammered, "J-Just the l-local pub, My K-King,"
Arver could laugh at how nerve wrecking it got for the soldier to say the truth. Either way, he wouldn't lie about the slightest things. The King cleared his throat, "You should learn to follow Dara around. For the walls have blades too, you are to not abandon the red flames,"
