You're a new visitor and both Loki and Thor have developed feelings for you. Of course, Thor is much more straight up and confident while Loki remains distant and shy. He's always incredibly jealous and heated when Thor interacts with you, especially since he can't pluck up the courage to do so himself.
'Brother, you'd best back off before I stab you again.'

You and Loki get into a silly disagreement. While you're in the middle arguing, he unexpectedly pulls you in and kisses you, leaving you speechless and flustered. Without another word, he walks out of your room with a sly and satisfied expression.

You and Loki are childhood friends. When you were much younger, he asked you if you liked him as more than a friend. Feeling sorry for him, you lied and said that you did indeed. You told Thor about it because you felt uneasy and silly for saying such a thing, but being the jerk he is, he made fun of Loki about it for years. However, you actually did develop feelings for Loki as you grew older together. Knowing you have no chance with him, you try to move on. Eventually, a new man rolls in and he's quite the ladies' man, charming everyone with his good looks and charisma. Induced half by desire to move on and half by actual attraction, you make effort to become acquainted with him. You confess your feelings to him and he admits he feels the same way about you. You both agree to meet at midnight for a date in the gardens under the moonlight.
He doesn't show up even after 10 minutes of patiently waiting. You wander around looking for him just in case he got lost, but instead you run into him walking arm in arm with another girl. Feeling heartbroken and cheated, you silently leave the scene. While you're dazing off, feeling disappointed in your lack of judgement and thinking about the one you truly love, he appears right on time.

Of course you feel slightly angry at him for making such a comment when you're upset, but then again you know he has the right to. Still, you're a bit amused that he still holds that grudge against you.
He takes a seat and provides comfort instead of making fun of you like you expected. You two talk for hours and the truth you'd been hiding finally escapes. He proceeds to admit he never lost his feelings for you either and the night ends up being even better than you ever expected.

One of the reasons Loki agreed to do Thanos' bidding (getting the tesseract) is to protect you, though he keeps it a secret so that no one else knows his weakness. Naturally, he was anxious for your safety and angry when he was captured by the Avengers, worrying it might be considered a failure to Thanos.
When Natasha reveals that they brought you to New York as a means to threaten Loki, he loses his cool mannerism and snaps. Either way, he fears he will lose the only one he truly loves.
