Sophie POV
It had been a month. I missed all of my friends and family, but I knew this was the right thing to do. I kept hurting them, and it's better now that I'm gone. I got a job at a cafe, and work weekdays. Someone walked up to order, and started talking. I immediately recognized keefes voice. So I ran. Before I could get anywhere he grabbed my arm, but I yanked it back quickly. I ran out of the cafe, and teleported. Now I was back at havenfield. I was on the edge of the cliff, and I looked down. It looked so inviting. I could jump now, and everything would be better. I wouldn't be able to hurt my friends or family anymore, and I would finally be done with this. I knew they would miss me, but they would get over it. They would realize that it was better this way. So I wrote a note.
Dear mom and dad
I'm sorry. I'm sorry I jumped. I just couldn't stay here anymore. It was for the best. Dont cry, dont be sad. I'm happy now. I'm finally happy. If there is life after death, I'll see you there.
Love your daughter sophie.
I looked down again. I turned around when I heard voices calling my name. I set down the note and walked to the very edge. And I fell. The last thing I saw was keefe looking over the edge calling my name. My eyes closed, and I felt more peaceful than I ever had in my life.
Keefe POV
No. No. No,no,no. She isn't dead. She isn't. "We have to go down there!" I shout. But then I saw the looks on their faces. "No! Shes still alive! Elwin can save her!" Before anyone could stop me, I jumped off. I quickly caught myself, and saw that sophie landed on one of the ledges. Maybe she could still live since she didnt fall all the way. She was pale and looked lifeless.
I quickly brought her to the top of the cliff where Elwin stood. "Help her." I said. He bent down and felt her neck. He stood back up with a surprised face. "Sh-shes alive." He whispered, and he started working.
Sophie POV
No. I was supposed to be dead. How could they do this? I was happy. I opened my eyes all the way to see my family standing over me. Crap.
