iv. Getting Close

Maddie is not yet in the mood for a swim. She sits in their cottage and scrolls through her phone. Not a moment later, she quickly glanced at the guy who is getting out of the pool. It was Jesse, all with his wet thin shirt.

She looked at him again, stared, but not too long – or anyone might see her looking at him. She couldn't resist it. Maddie could see his fit body – his chest, arms, and abs. And that is why she must not stare at him longer.

After getting out, Jesse went to his cottage when Harley and Hope ran towards him and talked about the plan. Then, they all went back to the pool.

Maddie's friends and classmates insisted her that time to join them. Well, she's got no choice but to come over there of course! She took off her shirt 'cause she's already got her swimsuit as her undergarments. And she grabbed her swimming shirt for she's not too comfortable with just the swimsuit – there are other sections! Then off she goes!

Afterward, they all talked about their batch's reunion. Too many – there are ten sections for business high school, but only three on science high. Still, too many. The admins were the leaders and they're assigning sub-leaders.

"Uy Diii," sabi ni Hope, "Kayo partner ni Jesse ahh!"

"Ahh, si-sigiiiu," sagot ni Maddie.

Out of the blue, Maddie didn't know that she'd get picked. There are others better than her – that's what she thought. But, she already said yes and needs to ride it.

Maddie and Jesse met again, talking about the design for the soon-to-happen reunion for their batch.

"Uy, Maddie," bait ni Jesse.

"Hey, hi ulit," masayang bati ni Maddie sa kanya.

"So, anong plano natin sa design? May ideas ka na?"

"Uhm, usually kasi pag ako pinag-iisip nila, kinukuha ko lang talaga yung ideas nila then umiisip ako ng way para mapaghalo or mapagsama ko yung mga suggestions nila. So for short, I still need more ideas – and also kung alin ang theme natin!"

"Ay oo nga! Sige wait ka lang ah – wait lang talaga, hehe" pakalmang pagsabi ni Jesse, "Tatanungin ko si Harley."

"Sureee, me is only here, hihi."

After going back to Maddie, they just took some super few notes in their mind and resumed to their pool party! Some played volleyball, some took videos, some – well some just swam.

Maddie went out of the pool and to the restroom. After fixing herself there, she then went outside, only to see Jesse was standing right next to her.

"Ay," simula ni Jesse, "Hi ulit, Maddie!"

"Uy, uh hi din Jesse," gulat pero masayang tugon ni Maddie.

"Uhm, I-I was wondering," pautal na sabi nito.

"Hmmm?"
