The New Kid

I walked into practice a week later and see Carly sobbing. I was wondering why she was sobbing but then it figured it out.

Yesterday, Carly called Pat about something. But it ended up being a huge fight from the text last week. The conversation went like this.

Carly: How did you found out that I told Molly that Brady cheated on her.

Pat: Guess who told me.

Carly: Who?

Pat: Brady

Carly: How?

Pat (Yelling really loud) : Once you told her, she told Brady that she found out. Then, he told me. I mean if you can't keep a secret I think we should break up. Because of you our friendship between all 6 of us is now destroyed. Thanks a lot.

Carly (Sobbing in the background) : Ok then, we're done.

The conversation ends like that both of them single and Carly sobbing. That's why Carly was sobbing when I walked in. When Macy, Molly and Carly walked out of the locker rooms. Carly still has tiers in her eyes. When she walked past Pat, she slapped him so hard that he almost fell on the ground.

When we were about to go in the water for warmup, this kid comes next to me and says, "Can I swim in this lane?"
"Sure," I replied. "You must be the new kid. What's your name."
"Wes yours," he asked.
"Mason. Nice meeting you, I told him.

While we were swimming warmup, I noticed that he is pretty fast. After warmup, the girls must of already saw Wes because they are pointing to him and giggling when he says something. But when Carly and Wes makes eye contact, she always smiles and Wes gets red.

At the end of practice, I went up to Carly and told her, "I think you have a new crush."
"Maybe, maybe not," she replied.
