Fear Allah, even when you are in love.
Aliya's POV cont.
It was already past 8pm in the night, and the person who my dad wants me to meet has not yet arrive.
While I was in my room working on my laptop, the thoughts of the stranger I'll be meeting tonight keep running through my head.
OhmyGod! I don't even understand why my dad keep urging me to meet someone I know I would not feel comfortable with.
After I was through with what I was doing, I made my way out of my room, and towards my dad's bedroom. I needed him to provide the answer to my very question. My steps came to halt as soon as I got to the door. I said the Teslim in a bit loud voice, after which I walked in after he had returned the Teslim, and had told me to come in. He was sitting down on the sofa placed at the edge of the bed, busy with his phone.
"Anything the matter?" He asked almost immediately without looking up from the phone while I moved further to him, and gently took my seat beside him.
"About the person who you.........." He cut me short amidst sentence.
"He'll be here any moment from now." He stated without shifting his gaze from the phone.
I heaved out a soft, and asked, "dad. I mean why did you want me to meet him?"
He turned his head towards me, and replied, "he wants to see you."
"Why?" I asked in a such of a surprised tone.
He looked irritated. However, spoke calmly, "It's just about business."
"Ok......" I nodded my head like a good girl, and added, "but, is he staying around tonight?" I probed, and instantly felt aback for my question was getting to much.
"No." He replied.
Better. I should be able to finish with him within a very short period of time, so he could take his leave as soon as possible.
"So, you should get prepared." My dad said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Alright sir." I replied, before exiting his room.
I was already dozing off in my room when Faaiza came in to inform me of the man's arrival which made my heart started beating rapidly. I got up, the bed creaked beneath me.
"Hurry up. He's waiting for you at the table." Faaiza said, smiling, and I felt like peeling it right off her face.
"Hey! Why are you smiling?" I rolled up my eyes at her.
"Come on, Alee. He's a gentle man, and you know what? He was the one that arrived into the city some days ago." She stated while I was dazed to her words.
"How did you get to know that?" I asked surprisingly.
"We............we chatted him up." She replied with a lit face.
"You and who?"
"AbdulLahi of course."
Oh! How could I've forgotten so easily that the both of them has gotten the tendency of been friendly towards anybody.
"Ok. You can go. Thank you."
"Yeah. Good night." She said, and walked out. I had a sigh, and padded over to my closet, shuffled out my black niqab, and walked out after donning it. I pray I don't have a tough time with him. Ever way so slowly, I trudged down the stairs, and AbdulLahi's appearance was what first caught my eyes, followed the stranger man. They where chatting and laughing. After a while watching, my presence was later noticed by AbdulLahi who simultaneously brought my presence to the stranger man's awareness also, while the latter, in a slow motion, turned towards me making our eyes to gained contact, and sending a urge sensation through me. His face radiating out a sparkling smile, and his curly hair that fell on his face brightens out his darken eyes. I couldn't take my eyes off him not until I heard AbdulLahi calling my name.
