Flower's POV

"Isn't this great, Flower? We're all going on a party together!" Ruby was holding my hand as we and our other ex-contestants were boarding the cruise ship. I smiled at the little gem of my girlfriend and squeezed her hand gently. "It's great! The ship is almost as beautiful as the both of us!"

We boarded the ship and got to our rooms. I immediately wrapped my favorite bandana carefully around my neck, grinning from petal to petal. "It's just as good on me as it was when I first got it..!" I blushed a bit at my own compliment as I gently fluffed my petals in front of a mirror as I saw Ruby's reflection giggle.

The first few days went by, and I was getting to be better friends with everyone else already! To celebrate with my new buddies, we went to the dining area of the ship to talk to each other. While we talked about what we planned to do after the cruise and ate delicious food, I could overhear a few shouts in the distance.

"Hey... does anyone hear that?" I turned my head a few times, a few others doing the same. "A little bit, yeah..." Leafy set down her fork and slowly stood up. "Should we see what it is?" Ruby questioned, her tone of voice fading to worry.

"I think we should, it could be important." Lollipop stood up a while after Leafy and started walking to the source of commotion, the rest of us following.

That's when the blaring volume of the emergency siren started. I couldn't see a thing as people left and right crowded around me. I barely managed to grab onto Ruby's arm and tried to run to a life boat, when I felt a force on my side large enough to push me off the side of the boat.

Heh. If that was Dora, it would have been very coincidental. I vividly remember the tall array of stairs that led to the shiny red button at the top.

The feeling of the wind pushing against my back as I watched Dora fly across the air with grace and smack the button, her emotionless face making no movement.

I felt a great force hit my body similar to the grass hitting my back during that challenge,
but this time it was water.

"Flower, wake up!"

"Huh?!" I bolted up, feeling my face frantically as my vision blurred

"Huh?!" I bolted up, feeling my face frantically as my vision blurred. A bandage on my face, a rip on my upper left petal... wait, a rip?

"M-my petal! It's ruined!!" I was about to start crying, but I felt something soggy around my stem. I looked down, and there was the bandana, still in good condition, which was enough to help me calm down.

Once my vision came back to normal, I looked up to see a slightly ripped Leafy and a bandaged Lollipop. "Are you okay?" Leafy stood back a bit respectfully as Lolli helped me to my feet. "Wh-where's Ruby?" I glanced around; there was no glimpse of red to be seen, with just a blue ocean, yellow sand, and green trees.

"I'm not sure.. She must be still out there in the ocean somewhere..." Leafy glanced out to the sea.

The huge, deep, dark, dangerous sea. That she was in.

I couldn't hold it back, and just started sobbing, calling out for Ruby as the two comforted me. There was the soft sound of footsteps and a voice. "Flower? What's wrong?" A burnt out Match walked over to my side and gently rubbed my arm in a comforting way.

"Ruby, she..." I gasped through my tears. "Sh-she could still be out there...! In the ocean!" I pointed frantically towards the body of water, collapsing to my knees. "It's okay, Flower. Ruby knows how to swim, you know!" Match sat down next to me as Leafy and Lollipop went to search for the others. "Besides, she's, like, more lucky than Firey Jr."

Those words started to calm me down. I wiped away my tears, nodding. "Yea... thanks, Match..." I gave her a smile as she grinned back, happy to see me in a better mood. I tilted my head, resting my face against a hand. "Wait, what about Firey?" Match giggled a bit, pointing at her burnt out head. "He sat on my head as I swam here! Firey Jr, like, missed and fell into the water instead! It was so funny!"

Match and I laughed and talked as we watched the sun set. I kept looking at the water occasionally, hoping to see a glimpse of my favorite shade of red.
She'll come here, and she'll be okay. Her being okay is all that matters.
