6) Eyes (⚠️)

Pin's POV

     When I woke up, I was alone in a strange forest. The last thing I remember was floating in the seemingly endless ocean after the boat sank. I slowly stood up, coughing up some water.

     I saw a figure slowly approach me, their emotionless face turning into an innocent smile after a few awkward seconds. "Hello! Are you lost?" I sighed softly before nodding. "Yea, I don't know where I am or where my friends are!"

     "I can help... But first I must say, you have beautiful eyes!" The object walked closer, their own eyes sparkling as they pointed at my face. "I- thank you?" The object grinned, holding out his arms.

     "May I have them?"

     "Wh-What?! No!" I immediately backed up, trying to get away from the object. They started to chase me, their arms stretched out even more in an attempt to grab me.

     Suddenly, I felt a force pull on my arm. I fell back, looking up to see the figure grinning at me.

     It was when they reached their hands towards me. That's when I didn't see anything at all. I only felt the agonizing pain and could only hear my screams. My head started spinning. I felt a small sharp object pierce me in the back of my head. I couldn't see anything at all. It didn't even look dark, it felt...

Coiny's POV

I swear I left Pin right there to get her food... I set the small rations down on the grass and started searching. She couldn't have gone too far, right?

     There was the sound of footsteps, but only for a few seconds. I started running, paranoid that the person was following me. Then I saw Pin.

     She was lying in a small pool of blood, and her eyes were... gone.

     I just ran up to Pin and gave her a hug. I was too horrified to scream as tears flowed down my face. "Pin, wake up... Please wake up..."

     I gently held a hand against her chest, hoping to feel a heartbeat. Thankfully, I did; she was still alive.

     As I gently scooped her up into my arms, I felt a large bleeding wound at the back of her head. I gasped and started running. There had to be help somewhere.

     I heard Pin take weak gasps for air as she suddenly coughed up blood. "Pin, please, stay with me, okay?..." I kissed her on the forehead, then stopped.

     Well, I was forced to a stop because I ran into some wood. But... not a tree?

"Coiny! What happened to Pin?!" I turned around with Pin protectively in my arms to see Leafy. "Leafy! Do you guys have bandages I need bandages to help Pin!!" Leafy nodded and rushed inside the thing I bumped into, which was a hut.

I sat down against the shed, hugging Pin gently as she woke up. I could tell because her breathing started getting faster. "I want you to stay quiet so you don't lose energy, okay..?" Pin nodded as she leaned against my body.

While Leafy was bandaging Pin's wounds, she also covered up where her eyes used to be. "Hopefully it'll stop bleeding so often.." Leafy flashed a comforting smile to me. "She'll be okay." Thank goodness...

I gently stroked the top of Pin's head as she hugged me. Then she whispered to me.
"Coiny...?" I looked down at her. "Yeah, Pin...?"

     "I-I'm gonna miss being able to look at you.." She blushed faintly as she kissed me on the cheek.

     "Hey, at least we're both still alive."
