"Kaze! Don't wander too far!" Shouted a young girl. She wore traditional air nomad clothing and carried a long wooden staff with her. She shot little blasts of air around to keep the bugs from coming near her.

"I'm over here Bom," a young boy's voice exclaimed, followed by giggles. Bom groaned and reluctantly spread her staff. She bent her knees slowly, and wrapped each hand on the ends and grinned. In an instant she took off into the sky, bending the air around her to help control every move she made. She watched with gleaming eyes the forest below her. Scanning every tree, bush, and plant in sight.

"Oh, I got you now Kaze!" She swooped down towards an orange spec that slowly grew into a crouched boy behind a bush. Bom landed perfectly while at the same time bending the air so Kaze was exposed behind the bush.

"Aw man! You caught me again" Pouted the boy. Bom went up to him and flicked his bald head with a smirk on her face.

"Don't forget that I just learned how to use my staff. No more getting away from me!" Bom beamed with pride. After Bom stopped gloating she looked over to Kaze and noticed something unfamiliar in his hands.

"Hey uh Kaze?" Bom said as she slowly tip toed over to him. "Mind if I just take a looksie?" Bom darted for the object and began to examine it.

"Hey! Give it back no fair!" Bom stood at least a foot taller than Kaze so she was easily able to look at the object while focusing on not letting Kaze retrieve it. She spread out the soft cloth that was an off white color. It had various stains, but Bom was only interested in the print on the blanket.

"Yin" she whispered as she dragged her finger across the sewing. Kaze gave up jumping to obtain the blanket. Instead, with the single wave of his hand the blanket was pushed onto Bom's face and slowly fell to reveal an annoyed Bom. Kaze stuck out his tongue and scooped the blanket up and began leaping away like the agile Airbender he was.

"Ugh stupid Kaze always getting into trouble." Bom rubbed her temples to calm herself down. "But where have I heard that name before..." She thought out loud, deep in thought. The setting sun slowly shined over her eyes, temporarily blinding her. She groaned and raised her hand to shield her grey orbs. "Oh crap, I better go find Kaze!"

She soared in the sky with a faster pace this time. Letting no corner of the forest go unseen. Racing with the setting sun, she began to get worried. By the time the moon was the only source of light she decided it would be best to take a break at a nearby waterfall. In a single movement the staff was back to looking like a normal wooden stick.

The "break" spot was actually quite beautiful. In the moonlight the waterfall shimmered and poured into a small pond where Bom reached down to wipe her face. There were moon flowers that began to bloom in the fresh night sky surrounding the pond. The flowing sound of the water relaxed Bom and calmed her nerves down a bit. She became fascinated with the area and decided to look around. She wandered around the waterfall enjoying every second of the tranquility. She opened her eyes slowly and saw a cute turtle duck in the water next to her.

"Aw aren't you a cutie, where's you family?" She spoke as if the turtle duck would respond. The adorable creature quacked and excitedly started swimming in circles. Bom smiled but was quickly reminded that she lost Kaze.

"I really have to find my friend." She said to the turtle duck with worried eyes. Strangely enough, the turtle duck began swimming and stopping to see if Bom was watching.

"Oh I see, you want me to follow you?" She exclaimed with a small smile. She began to follow the small turtle duck until it led her to the waterfall.

"What is it that you wanted to show me?" Bom wondered. But, the turtle duck swam in a small circle before it headed directly into the waterfall.

"Wait don't-" Bom started. She quickly realized though that the turtle duck was trying to show her a secret passage behind the water fall. Bom put her staff down and dived right into the water. With no lights to help her, she trusted the turtle duck that there was something hidden on the other side.

Bom gasped for air as her head flung out of the water. Lucky for her, she didn't have to worry about hair in her face because of her bald "hairstyle". Inside the waterfall was a small cave where a small family of turtle ducks slept. She smiled at the sight.

In her peripheral vision she noticed a faint glow. She swam to the cave floor and began ringing out some of her clothing.

"No way Bom! You found me!" Bom looked up to see Kaze in the distance next to a small fire and a small figure. She began walking closer and took in the sight before her.

There was Kaze sitting on a chair made from rock and a fire across from him. The cave looked to be carved out of the earth with a table and chair near the fire. Across the other side of the fire sat a girl, presumably around Bom's age. She wore tattered clothing made from a single piece of cloth. Her dark brown hair reached the ground as if she had never cut it. Her skin was very pale and her green eyes rested upon a tired but pretty face. She weakly began to sit up and took a fighting stance.

"Who a-are you?" She spoke softly but affirmative. Her eyebrows were furrowed but her legs shook. Bom simply raised her hands to show that she was harmless.

"Yin don't worry that's my best friend Bom over there."Kaze stood in the middle of them to make sure a fight didn't break out.

"Bom this is my friend Yin. Yin this is my friend Bom." Kaze stated calmly.

"Nice to meet y-" Yin couldn't finish her sentenced before falling to the rough ground.

"Yin!" Bom and Kaze cried in unison.
