"What?", I asked him again. He sighs heavily. "I said, I might know where Jason is!", he yells. A wave of coldness went down my whole body. "Where is he!", I asked him while screaming. "Whoa, whoa! Easy there cutie pie!", he says. "This is no time for your stupid jokes Kevin! Where is he?!", I yelled once more. He slid his hand down his face in frustration. Even though this wasn't the best time, I couldn't help but think that his face was always so cute. "Look, I said I think! Okay! Now take me to your drunk little cousin and see if she's found him! Because she probably doesn't know shit!", he says. The tension in myself arose. I couldn't help it. So, I slapped him. "You son of a bitch!", I yelled at him. "My cousin might be crazy, but at least she can care for us! Did you know that our parents didn't take care for us or have any love for us like she does?! If she refused to take care of us, we would've already died in the alley!" He looked at me with a serious face, and sighed once again. "Let's just go to your cousin already!", he said. We met back up with Jackilen in the middle of town, and none of us have found Jason. Jackilen was also crying, but didn't want to show it in front of us. "Jackey, you remember Kevin right? From seventh grade?", I asked her while trying to keep more of my tears back as well. She sniffed and wiped her nose. "Well of course I remember", she said with her voice all shakey," you used to talk about him a lot Kendra." My face turned bright red, I can't believe Jackilen said that! "Jackey!", I yelled. "Not the time for that!" I saw Kevin chuckling and turning red as well. We went back home without Jason, and Kevin was with us. Jackilen told Kevin he could sit wherever he wanted. "Thank you.", he told her. "Your welcome.", Jackilen said while sitting down and sobbing. We sat in silence for about a minute, and Kevin spoke up. "I might know about Jason's incendent.", he says. I jumped up, and before a word could come out of my mouth, Jackilen put her arm in front of me and gestured that I should sit down. I sat down and started to sob again. "What do you know so far Kevin?", asks Jackilen. Kevin got comfortable, meaning, he's going to have a good explanation. "The other day, I was inside that drug store that cutie skirts always walks past after school-" "Pervert!", I yelled at him before he could speak again. "Kendra! Shh!", yells Jackilen. "Keep going.", she tells Kevin. " I heard two guys talking about kidnapping and taking kids hostage for child labor. And what I mean by that is that, I don't know who or where, but some people are taking kids to work for them so they can get more money.", he says. "Oh my god!", I yell out while still sobbing. "And your are not the only ones looking for your kid! Others have probably already been kidnapped too. Some targets might be schools, playgrounds, school bus stops." My heart dropped when I heard him say that. What if he was kidnapped at the bus stop? Ring! Ring! The phone! " I'll get it!", I tell them. I went into the kitchen, and picked up the phone. "Hello?", I said. "We know who you are." I paused and my heart started to beat faster. "Who is this?", I asked. Both Kevin and Jackilen heard me say that, and came slowly walking into the kitchen. "We have your little brother with us right now! We may not let him go! He is special.", says the mystery voice. I got angry and the tension arose again. "What do you mean special? Give him back!", I yelled. Jackilen came in back of me and put both her hands on my shoulders. "We may not do so! And if you plan on calling the police or telling anyone about this, then we will find you, and hunt you down! And don't think we don't know! We will try to find and use you as well, Kendra!" My heart pumped faster and faster. "FUCK YOU!", I yelled and hung up. I slid down and hugged my knees. "What happened?", asked Jackilen. "We can't stay here Jackey!", I told her. "What?! Why?", she asked. "Don't you get it? They are hunting us down! They know we will do something to get him back! We need to leave, but now!", I yelled at both of them. All three of us started to pack up, and left the house. We went in Jackilens truck, and the search began for my little brother. I will do anything to get him back. I will not rest, nor stop. Because I will, find my brother.
